I received the VCR with the trap forced and broken. The trap was pushed inside the VCR and other plastic clip on the bottom was also broken.

I bought this one because I had bought two other nearly identical ones in the past.
They are easy to use and reliable. The on-screen menus work well and setting up the timed recordings is at least as good as I have seen on other manufacturers VCRs.
The machine can be set to record eight events in a month. These can be set manually or using Video-Plus codes. Recordings can be repeated daily or weekly.
I am very happy with my one and am glad to have got it.
