JVC GR-D290 Mini DV Camcorder

Having wanting to buy a digital camcorder I looked at many reviews on the web and decided a mini dv one was the best option with my budget. I have never used a camcorder before but found the JVC to be simple to use and with buttons very close to hand and I was surprisedthat the unit was very compact concidering it was not the lasted model out there. the playback quality was much better than I expected the only downside is the still images are quite poor but I have a digital camera for them! My only other gripe is that to charge unit it needs to be done on the camcorder not in a stand alone charging pod. For the excellent value for money though it is great littlew bargain
