JVC Everio GZ-MS100 Flash Media Camcorder

This is an excellent, basic camcorder. In terms of the essentials - image quality, battery life, zoom range, low light performance - it delivers the goods very well indeed in the price range and indeed it competes with higher priced kit.

On the downside, control is a bit limited, and what there is is down in the menus. The "YouTube" upload feature is a gimmick, no worse or better than using any other camcorder for the purpose, and the .mod file format is a bit of a problem though easily got around with the right bit of freeware - google for it - for those who want to edit. The supplied software is poor, but that's pretty normal.

For the money, there's no better.
