The Italian Job (DVD 2003)

One of the greatest British film ever, about a bank robbery in Italy by the British firm, who have not only the Italian police to avoid but also the Mafia.
Great car chases with the three minis, in of course, red, white and blue.

The caper is one of the most exciting automobile chases ever filmed.
Think of the Italian Job, and "Minis" come straight to mind.
Minis are an icon recognised all over the world, making this film much the same.
Despite it being 40 years old it is still as good as it was then.

This is an awesome film! I always knew it was one of those "all-time classic" films. I'd only seen bits of it before but I never realised how great it was until I watched it from beginning to end!! The storyline remains consistent throughout and the end is great because it is so unpredictable!

I recommend this film for everyone who loves a bit of tense action.

Not much needs to be said. A cracking comedy starring Michael Caine with possibly THE car chase through the streets & sewers of Italy. Mini's are great, the humour is good and this film is a classic from anyones point of view. Highly recommended - Best of British.

This is a 'must-see' film despite it being 40 years old. The swinging Sixties as they really were - not the pale and crass imitation of Michael Myers. Cheeky chappies, chirpy birds and careering cars everywhere. Noel Coward's final role as Mr Bridger is triumph of self parod. Benny Hill's performance shows us what could have been if he had not chosen the path he did. His pervy Professor Peach still manages to engage the viewer's sympathy. Raf Vallone superbly sinister as a Mafia don, and don't forget the hillside of Mafia killers armed to the teeth (apparently all recruited quickly from the Turin gay bars!). The Mini Coopers provide the exciting driving on the escape and their mountain-side disposal always has me reaching for the remote to play the film backwards and watch them cartwheel back uphill and leap into the coach.

this is truly one of the best films michael caine has ever made, so i had to buy it for my fast growing collection of dvds. the car chase is one of the best ever filmed.

A True Classic!

My son wanted this, he has seen the new edition and did not like it so i got the old edition with michael caine and he can't put it dowm. He says this is much better.

One of the best movies I have seen Michael Cane star in, the car (Mini) driving skills in were out of this world. Fantastic scenes, star studded actors too. 100% fantastic movie.

Classic British comedy, what more can you say. This film is a must see. Don't laugh at this and you need some humour surgery!

I had never seen this film classic so decided to buy it as it was such a bargain. Not sure if I'm meant to be reviewing the film or it's condition upon receipt but it was sealed and brand new so I was delighted.

The best Sunday afternoon film in history. A classic.

The only thing they forgot to do was to return the terrible Chinese steel that came with the deal, so that we would have fewer rusty Italian cars.

This is film is produced perfectly. It keeps you on edge, the plot is amazing. The quality of this film is shown in the driving skills, the pace, the cleverness of the caracters. The acting is amazing. The only problem i could find was the fact i wish i was in the film. It is a truely amazing film and would recommend to anyone!

An iconic cult film,set in Turin.
I have an italian cousin who lives in Turin.He had never heard of this film so i thought he ought to see it;hence the purchase.

Just Great.
The film is so old but still makes you laugh.
The film is so cheap to buy, so you cannot miss out and you are sure to have a good time watching it.

all i can say is that this film is brilliant (YOUR ONLY SUPPOSED TO BLOW THE B****Y DOORS OFF!) well i just had to lol, but to use 3 mini coopers to pull of a job involing lot of money is just pure genius. this film in my personal oppinion has to be a must for any mini copper enthusiast like my self. so anyone out there who thinks that the new version is better i would say watch the old one first you just cannot beat the original with Micheal Caine in.
