Isle Of Wight Festival 1970 - Message To Love (DVD 2005)

I just got hold of it (Feb 2008).. Man!! 38 years later... what a thrill.. 139 Minutes of flash back 138 minutes to short. I was not yet 18 at the time traveled all the way from Lyon FRANCE. I wanted this movie to last for the full 5 days I was there, even when sleeping on the Jimi Hendrix's gig. If you have been there, get this movie, you will love it, not for sound or image quality, but for remembrance.

Hey man, it's like I was there at the time instead of stuck in traffic for hours verging on days and eventually turning to retrace my steps in sheer frustration, thereby missing out on great if not the greatest name acts of the day, all at the one big gig.
The entire festival really stands up to retrospection and I even found myself liking those performing who I thought not so hot at the time - I mean, man, who could ever compare with Hendrix at his best...and yet, he was most at home with these guys and they prove their right to be numbered in the company of that truly great artiste.
Wish I'd made it at the time of course, but with this production and a good sound system I am made to feel that I was actually there in a very real sense....ENJOY !!!!

excellent dvd,good music,good coverage in front and back stage just a festival of great bands,brings back happy memories i was there with my £3.00 ticket,if you get a chance to buy dvd,do so

it gave one angle of the festival.i was there so nice to to see every thing changed when all the people held hands to amazing grace.

ace present for a friend who was at the festival.this was my cheapest and best pres this year ,my friend was thrilled to receive it.
