Iron Monkey (DVD 2001)

This film has a cheesy classic storyline, it's badly dubbed and the acting is questionable however the Kung Fu is amazing and the film has a special style. The director is the M.A. director from the Matrix trilogy. This is a classic really and anyone who loves Kung Fu films should watch it at least once!

it is the top 5 greatest kung fu films of all times. great value. I feel that I was the happest man in the world.

Iron Monkey is filled to the brim with some of the most inspired fight choreography I've ever seen. There are numerous one-shot scenes that are spectacularly done. Even better, there isn't one or two memorable shots, but dozens. The actors are all accomplished martial artists and this brings legitimacy to the fights, something that is missing in films such as Legend of Zu and The Storm Riders.

There are little special effects in Iron Monkey besides the tried and true usage of wire-fu to help the characters fly and bounce and jump. And even that is very well done, showing the sure hands of a wire-fu veterans.The plot is ok and the acting at times is very poor but saying that i really enjoyed this likeable movie.

Excellent action sequence's, and even a slight plot and story line (whatever next ?!). Iron Monkey take steps towards meeting Western style plot-lines whilst still remaiing true to it's Chinese origins.

Maybe not one of the Top Ten martial arts films ever made, but certainly high on the list. ENJOY !

i love it as simple as that.i saw it round a friends house and i enjoyed the mixture of humour ,fighting and whole idea so i decided to buyit.
