iron maiden - (somewhere in time)the best maiden album

(SOMEWHERE IN TIME) maiden at there best,featuring-caught somewhere in time/wasted years/sea of madness/heaven can wait/the loneliness of the long distance runner/stranger in a strange land/deja-vu/ and alexander the great.
The music & lyrics on the album is excellent and bruce dickinson (vocals) is fantasti. The guitars riff and solo`s (dave murray & adrian smith) on all the song`s are excellent. The drums & bass (nicko Mcbrain & steve harris)playing is solid. I was 15 when l got the album and now hearing it again l still think it`s maiden at there best.
This album is highly recommended to all new maiden fan`s.

Iron Maiden - Somewhere In Time

This is the album that began in earnest phase III of the Maiden experience, and I remember well my disappointment upon first hearing it. However, time and distance now allow me to review the album with a less jaundiced eye and in a more favorable light (much like with Metallica’s loathed-at-first Load). It certainly starts off well enough, as “Caught Somewhere In Time” sports the patented Maiden gallop, a singable chorus, and a suitably epic guitar solo. The strong first single “Wasted Years” follows with a memorable guitar riff and Dickinson’s emotional vocals (cool Eddie-athon video, too), while “Sea Of Madness” boasts imaginative lyrics and an evocative sing along chorus. “Heaven Can Wait” is another estimable effort, with a surprisingly poppy chorus and some gothic touches going for it, but like “Caught Somewhere In Time” the song is ultimately too long for its own good

Easily one of Maiden's best peices of work, the title track itself is intense and classic maiden, (galloping rythm, fast, blistering solos etc!) this album contains some of my all time favourite Iron Maiden songs- Caught Somewhere in Time, The Loneliness... and Deja Vu. Any maiden fan who hasnt got this album should buy it now!! it's a must have for any rock/metal fan out there!! pure 80's british metal!! what more could you ask for??? UP THE IRONS!

classic eighties album by maiden, the likes of alexader the great and somewhere in time,to mention a few.took a big chance with guitar synths and keyboards, and payed off well, its an album you either love or hate, frankly i love it.truly awesome musicians clicked all together which is very rare for a studio album.not many bands could produce seven classics in a row up to this album, then to top it all off with there eigth album seventh son truly remarkable band of the eighties.after that i dont know what happened to them, but what a decade(up the hammers).

  Classic Maiden

Somewhere in time is full of classic Maiden stuff. It`s hard, fast and melodic. Bruce`s voice is truly piercing. My favorite in the album is Deja-Vu but the title track and Alexander the Great are the usual pleasers. Check out the cover as well and see if you can spot Batman. :)

  Remaster sounds terrible

This album is great. The remaster of this one sounds distorted with all the levels pushed too high. I have all the new remasters and all are great except this one. My opinion by the original CD of this album!

Iron Maiden at their absolute best.
Wasted years and Alexander The Great are the stand out tracks.
The enchanced 'ECD' collection are excellent. Incorporating videos of the single releases with other files accessible on PC.
