I bought Beat the Intro 1 off ebay a while back, and, although interesting, the music on it wasn't brilliant, and the loading times between screens were ridiculous. However when I saw Beat the Intro 2 for a low price, I decided to nab it. And I'm so glad I did, since it makes Beat the Intro 1 look like it was made by monkeys. Beat the Intro 2 is smooth, fun, and great for when you need to entertain a group of friends!
There are two main modes on it - One player, and multiplayer. Multiplayer consists of 10 sets of questions, each question giving you an intro or lyrics to identity, and then questions expanding on what you heard/read. Everyone sits with a piece of paper and a pen and writes their answers. It's great fun, and whenever an intro is played, everyone looks at each other and smiles as an intro from the past is brought back to the memory!
But the one player mode is the best. Intros are given to you, and you must choose from the choices on screen quickly before the time runs out! This can also be played with a group of people all sitting round, shouting 'No, it's A! Definitely A!' etc.
The only problem I can see is that, even though there are lots of questions/intros, after playing for just 3 or 4 times, you'll see some of the same questions again. It maybe should have been programmed to remember which questions were seen recently, so that they weren't repeated.
Other than that though, top job! Great game!

Really loved Beat the Intro 1 and have played it soo much I know most of the songs on it now, I therefore brought the 2nd version but to my dismay all the songs are the same as on the first version. Very dissappointed

Decided to buy this as I like to guess the record during the introduction, plus its a game I can play with my daughter.
I don't like the fact that some of the questions are repeated over and over again plus, the writing isn't very clear - even though I've got a large tv screen.
I like the fact that you can choose which decade to answer questions from as there are some decades that I am better at than others. I also like the fact that it is fast moving. I've played other games which take ages to get on to the next question which can get tedious after a while.

Great fun for a night in with friends, The single player game is great fun, just guessing the song title as quickly as possible.Will have to get the next 2 DVD games.

I bought this as a family gift for christmas, it was an enjoyable game for all the family to play. some of the levels were difficult for the younger children but they still had a go, the most enjoyable part for me was the single player option where i could play all night guessing the title and artist of the clips played

Good game but researchers should do their jobs properly. Several answers I knew were right, entered answer and was told wrong answer! An example it asked what battle was a hit for ABBA, The Three to choose from were Trafalgar, Waterloo and Hastings. The answer obviously is Waterloo but when that answer was entered. I was told Wrong Answer. This happenned a few times. Researchers, Get your Facts straight!!!

Interactive Beat The Intro 2 (DVD)I have decided to buy the game as we do not own a game console so thought it would be a good way to get everyone involved without the need of a boardgame. Although we enjoyed it to begin with, we found it repeated the same questions over and over again, although it supposedly have over 6,000 questions! We had the same questions in four rounds out of five! We gave it several chances but unfortunately to no avail. I do not recommend.
