Intel Core 2 Duo T5870

This Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo does not appear anywhere on Intel's own website.
It is a Socket 'P' (micro FCPGA) fitting and works with Intel's 965 Express chipset family
It can be found in HP laptops so it is probably an OEM special.
Intel's Processor ID Utility identifies it correctly even if it is not listed in their processor finder.
Spec:
2 Cores running at 2GHz with 800MHz FSB and having 2MB level 2 Cache.
This chip supports Intel EM64T, Enhanced Speed Step Technolocy and SSE3, it does not support Intel Virtualization Technology, only this last item seems to differentiate it from the popular and powerful T7250.
There is certainly no problem runnig this in a Dell Vostro 1700 (with up to date BIOS) and (subject to BIOS support) virtually any laptop using the 956 Express Chipset Family should support this seemingly rare chip.
If you see one offered used and are capable of fitting it in your laptop it makes a decent upgrade for Celeron M540 etc and most T5 series processors (Mine replaced a Celeron M550 giving me 2 cores running at the same 2GHz as the original single core chip but also provides a faster system bus (FSB) speed meaning that my memory runs at 667MHz rather than being slowed down to 533MHz as was the case with the Celeron.
