Another excellent Intel Processor

I bought this processor when I built my latest desktop (I always do it myself as it works out cheaper & faster); and have not been disappointed. I've had no reason to overclock this CPU as it is THE business.
My last two laptops have been Intel Pentium-M's, at 1.6GHz and 1.86GHz respectively, and now I've had the E6600 for a couple of months I can happily say that this is the chip for me; it blows the laptops out of the water.
I also built two PC's while I had the slower Pentium-M using AMD's X2 dual cores - both of which had much higher clock speeds than the 1.6GHz of the Pentium - yet the Pentium still blew them away with superior stability & power!
In my mind, Intel still have the upper hand over AMD; so if you want a powerful, futureproof CPU then go with the E6600. You will not be disappointed!
With regard to quad-core CPU's, don't bother. So little applications are written for 4 cores that they are a serious waste of money. Go with dual cores for the next couple of years!
I hope this helps!
