Live life like you mean it.

Michael's life is passing him by until one day he meets the irrepressible Rory O'Shea who has a plan that will change their lives forever. Outsmarting the system, the unlikely pair manage to leave Carrigmore Home for the Disabled and land their very own flat. They employ the headstrong but inexperienced Siobhan to take care of their every need. With their newfound friendship and independence, life is theirs for the taking, but not without consequences...

'Inside I'm Dancing' is a funny and inspirational film about friendship and freedom that will make you laugh, cry and see the world through different eyes.

Inside I'm Dancing is a funny and inspirational film outlining the story of two 'disabled' young men who forge out on their own together, leaving an institution that offers them full time care and support, to gain some of their own independance through living on their own.

Rather than concentrate on the pysical disabilities of the two leads. This film is more about the friendship that develops between them and the dynamic between them both and their able bodied carer, a young girl called Siobhan.

Personally I could find no fault with this film. Clever, funny and not over sentimental nor apologetic. This is a life affirming, warm, story that is a definate must see.

i bought this dvd as i have 2 young sons that both suffer from duchenne muscular dystrophy, the film is based on a story about a young man that has this muscular dystrophy and another that has serebal palsy, the main reason i got it was to get a look at what the future was likely going to be like for my sons and myself, needless to say that the film broke my heart, finding out how they are going to suffer through life, for me this is going to be a hard and trying life for me, my wife and both our sons, i just hope that we have the strength to get through it all, so there you go that is why i got this dvd and im glad i did to, it has given me a huge amount of insight, im just glad that i manage to find this dvd on ebay as it is difficult to get in the shops. so al that there is left to say is WELL DONE EBAY AND KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK WE WOULD ALL BE LOST WITHOUT EBAY

A warm heartfelt film that gives you a look at life through someone quite different's eyes. The film will make you laugh but at times will pull on your heartstrings and reduce you to tears.

The film centres around Rory O'Shea a disabled man confined to a wheel chair but with a passion for life (played fantastically by James McAvoy. Although Rory is physically disabled he lives life to the full and makes each day count. Whilst sent to a care home that Rory hates it is here he meets Michael (Steven Robertson) a young man with cerebral Palsy who has spent most of his life being cared for in this home and really hasnt experienced what life has to offer.

All this changes when Rory and Michael move into a house together and are cared for by Siobhan a young lady with no care experience that the young men take a fancy too. There lives begin to make a dramatic change and not all good.

Damien O' Donnell has once again come up with a great heartfelt film following East is East and the fantastic Heartlands. My only question is where the hell is Damien and why hasnt he made a film since 2004, someone of his talent should not have been out in the cold for 4 years.

What a heart-warming film! There is a lot to be learned about disability awareness and this film goes a very long way to highlight some of the major issues disabled people face. I think the acting was incredible, full marks!!! A really moving story about two young men with disabilities, their right to independence and their uphill struggle to victory. Alot of laughter along the way and more than a few tears were shed I can tell you.
10/10 for me!

I have wanted to watch this film for ages and I wasnt dissapointed. As a disabled person, born with cerebral palsy I can relate to the problems faced by these two youngsters. The film portrayed real life, with a funny side, and I would imagine its an eye opener to many people with no experience of disabled people. Some might take offence at some of the issues covered, but I certainly didnt. Overall, very good and highly recomended.

A totally under-rated film which proves that the British film industry is capable of making a great film. "Inside i'm dancing" is a film that can make you laugh and cry virtually simultaneously.Well acted and sensitively portrayed it really is a must see movie!

a comedy about two severely disabled young men seeking a degree of independence from institutional living may not sound like everyone's cup of tea, but this is an absolute gem. ranging from high comedy to tragedy, the film is utterly absorbing, and the performances by the main actors are bang on target. this is one you will want to keep and watch again

this is an excellent film about two young men who met each other while stayin at a care home. both have physical disabilities and are wheelchair bound. they become really good friends and this film gives you an insight into the prejudices that disabled people can suffer in society and the care system. overall a fantatic film for anyone to watch and a real tear jerker. enjoy.

What a brilliant film! McAvoy plays a great part and is so believable. Touching and funny with a touch of romance and pain too. What more do you need from a film?? Highly recommended.

I watched this film a few years ago and really liked it. It's about two disabled boys trying to live in the community, it's very funny in parts and sad at the end. They get into trouble a lot It's a very down to earth story and very believable, you want to cheer them on. They become great friends and at the end one of them dies. A good film to have a good weep at and to see the disabled view of life.

I thought this was a great film, made you think about all the different issues people with disabilities have to live with and the barriers they have to overcome.
The film was recommended to me by a work colleague. Would recommend to be watched.
