The Incredible String Band includes: Robin Williamson, Mike Heron.The Incredible String Band's sixth album was released during the era when putting out two records a year was commonplace. CHANGING HORSES (1969) found the ensemble exhilarated by the speed at which they were evolving. Though founders Robin Williamson and Mike Heron were still doing all the writing, they were now recording and performing as a quartet with the addition of their girlfriends Rose Simpson and Licorice McKenzie. Williamson's "Big Ted" opens the set and finds the band at its most rollicking. Other highlights include the jointly written (a rarity for Williamson and Heron) "Dust Be Diamonds," and the a capella spiritual "Sleepers Awake." "Creation," at 16 minutes in length, was the band's longest piece to date, and foreshadows Williamson's later solo work and story telling.
