Please bear in mind that I bought this elderly projector as a temporary replacement for one stolen in a burglary. When first on the UK market this projector sold for around £4700 in 2001. I paid £122 for mine in 2008. What I like. Nice bright picture, good 4X3 resolution, very sharp. Excellent de-interlacing uses Faroudja chip. DVI interface, handy for connecting media PC. Works really well on S-Video input from normal DVD player or SKY box. What's not so good. Light leakage from the front of the projector, later ones were better ? When used for 16X9 you end up with faint bars top & bottom. (for 16X9 this is 1024 by 576, so projector will be stretching say 480p to fit) DLP, so projector produces rainbow effects if you move your head quickly. Small amount of noise from cooling fan. Replacement bulb is costly, life is 2000 hours or so. The press gave this five stars (out of five) at it's introduction If you need a cheap projector grab one of these, it's a bargain.

I had always wanted a projector but i always thought the whole set up would be quite pricey, it really wasnt! I bought an LP350 a few months ago and have used it every day since. Its ace at night time, looks spot on, i project at about 3m x 3m and it looks brilliant. However in the day time unless you have thick curtains, your going to have a problem. In the day its hard to even make out people on screen when using it, i stick to the tv for day time and projector for night. The bulbs are reasonable also, if your lucky you can grab one off ebay for about £50 odd and that will last around 2000 hours, so quite a long time. Overall its a very good projector but not good for day time use or use in bright places, night time though its brilliant and i would give it 9/10 Thanks all hope this helps
