Description Kev and Mick are a pair of aimless suburban Australian slackers whose lives revolve around procuring beer and watching television. One day, it dawns upon them to rob a bank in order to alleviate their boredom, based on how easy it seems on TV. When the big day happens, however, things don't go as smoothly as planned. Taking cues from Tarantino, but with stronger roots in grim reality, the film features kinetic camera work, a strong musical soundtrack, and energetic performances. A fast-paced, well-reviewed black comedy along the lines of TRAINSPOTTING from the director of the Australian cult hit BAD BOY BUBBY.
Editorial Reviews "IDIOT BOX is a wild ride, a fast, corrosive comedy....Artfully designed and expertly staged....Visually and aurally exciting..." Variety - David Stratton (11/04/1996)
