my daughter loved this film she watched it on tv so i decided t buy it for her birthday she still loves it and is the only time she is quiet for 5 minutes.

i decided to buy it as i loved it when i was younger. recommend this movie for anyone all the family. there is nothing i dislike about it.

Very good disney adaptation of the famous story. Good fun characters for the whole family to enjoy with a full array of the usual disney songs. A classic book given that wholesome disney magic. enjoy

I feel that this film has never got the recognition it deserves; the look of the film is dazzling, the characters are well-rounded and likeable, the songs are some of the best from the entire Disney franchise and the story is plausible and moving.

i decided to buy this absolute bargain as my daughter really loves this film, the seller was prompt in postage and i will be doing business again!

I bought this DVD for my sons, they saw it in the States and absolutely loved it, as do I. It's a great film for the whole family with lots of singing, and no violence. The colours are bright and the storyline is simple for the youngest to comprehend. A real feel good movie!

THE MOVIE:
One of Disney's most under-rated classics, 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' is a movie that definitely deserves another look.

THE DVD:
The main purpose of this review is to highlight this stripped-down DVD. The special features presented here are a seemingly random selection ported over from the old laser-disc: 1 deleted song (there were 3 on the laser-disc), a brief demo of the CG effects in the movie, a very short discussion on how the movie got put into production (nothing about the actual production of the movie), an early presentation reel (stills of production art set to a demo of the song "Out There"), a history of Notre Dame (screens of static text) and a game - all very short with very little real insight into the production of the movie.

The US (Region 1) version of this release contains a feature-length audio commentary by the producer and directors, often the gem of DVD special features for those interested in how films are actually made, and a 30-minutes 'Making of' featurette covering story, animation, music, etc. THESE ARE NOT AVAILABLE ON THIS UK (REGION 2) DVD. If you are really interested in how this film was produced, and have a DVD player capable of playing Region 1 DVDs, then I would recommend that you avoid this DVD and purchase the Region 1 DVD instead.

This Disney film is not one of Walt's best but it is still a very entertaining one. The story is based very loosely on the book by French author, Victor Hugo. The film is light hearted, the good guys win and the bad guys lose. Quasimodo, the hunchback of Notre Dame, has been raised by Frollo in the bell towers of Notre Dame. Quasimodo spends all his life in the cathedral but he has never seen life outside but only watched it from above. Quasimodo decides to descend from the towers fro the Festival of Fools and from there he realises that his master is more monster than man and the Parisians realised he is a man not a monster.

i like that the product was exactly how the seller described i did not dislike this film enjoyed every minuet i will be gettin the second film as i have not seen it yet

What a brilliant film! one of disneys best!! And its got demi moore doing a voice of Esmerelda, what more could you ask!? This old tale comes alive in colour and music for everyone young and old. i couldnt beleive it was 10 years old, i went to watch this at the pictures when i was 15 (eeep showing my age) and was mezmorised. Its a must see for young and old, new disney fans and old ones alike and an essential film for any disney collecter.

Im sure that everyone who has seen this will agree with me, if not, blah. ;)

having had the video for a long time I decided to switch to the dvd so that my daughter could experience an excellant and entertaining film by the god's that are disney

Molly is 5 and loves Disney. As expected from Disney, the animation is great. A fabulous story brought to life by endearing characters. Some little parts frightened Molly, so maybe not really for children so young.
The songs were not as good as one comes to expect but tuneful and jolly enough.
The three gargoyles are very amusing.
The animated scenery from the bell tower is stunning! Very believable!
I would say more of a girly film, however most young and old should enjoy this lighthearted film.

A must for any Disney collector a brill film for children from 1 to 100. A fun film all the way through. Watched with my children and now grand-children.

i did not receive the item could not get a refund. i am out of pocket and will not buy from ebay again.
