Hulk (DVD 2003)

How long did it take to get to the transforming and have the hulk actually on the screen, I think I fell asleep at several points I was that bored, this was meant to be a childrens film, with adult watchers just as interested, but only the people wanting to get some sleep should watch this, i liked the idea, but way too boring. Not really recommened.

I have to confess that when I first saw this movie I fell asleep.
It was, however, 4am, and I hadnt been to bed at that point...

Since then, i saw the movie from start to finish, and not being a 'hulk' fan, although i have seen some of the tv stuff, i understood the plotline, and the intereaction between characters (which is better than some films in this genre), and in addition to being accessible for the non fanboy/girls, there were a few hidden gems for the diehard fans as my fiance attested to with his delighted exclamations throughout the movie.
All in all, having bought the film to add to my rapidly growing superhero film collection, I can say that it is a film worth seeing, even if you aren't very experienced in the storyline of 'the 'hulk'', and sits well alongside other films of the genre.
The film is about the right length, and I didn't feel that there were any unnecessary parts of the plot, with storyline interspersing the impressive special effects well.

All in all, a good buy, and definately an entertaining evenings worth of entertainment.

I had rather low expectations before seeing Hulk, since the early criticism was pretty harsh and basically the whole mojo around this movie didn't sound very good. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. As many previous reviewers pointed out, Ang Lee has created a marvelous movie/comic book amalgam, which may be too cerebral to most of the viewers, but Hulk has always been pretty complicated character anyway. If the movie had been made as a "Hulk Smash!" bruhaha it would most certainly...well, suck! This way we got excellent Sam Elliot and Jennifer Connely, and very good Nick Nolte and Eric Bana, all capped with absolutely brilliant directing by Ang Lee. If only all the other comic book movies were directed in this way...

little disapointing , focused to much on past events but when the hulk bursts onto the screen the action starts.
its a good film to watch every now and then but you will proberbly skip to the hulk action

My kid loves The Hulk and this movie gives him the background and also some brilliant action to watch.

Came through the post with no damage and really pleased with the item. This one will see me buy from them again and always replies to emails.

I think that this movie really set some standards with regards to CGI entertainment. Hulk is a big brute of a creature, but he has a heart and this is what I took from the movie.

The movie starts off by setting the scene with Bruce Banner's childhood and then gives us a bit of an insight into his adult life which involves the love of his life - Betty Ross, the daughter of General Ross who turns out to be Hulk's main enemy, who is relentless at tracking Hulk down and wanting to destroy him.

The story is good, the acting is very good and the CGI is brilliant.

All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable bit of escapism on a rainy Saturday afternoon.

Great comic book turned film. Scientist who turns v.angry and green.Defentley worth watching especialy for those of you who are fans.

Kids love the film, bought it as my video copy of it had worn out!

The story doesn't follow the original Marvel history. Also very annoying filming effects. A fun film if nothing exceptional expected, but disappointing if expecting Batman/Spiderman type film.

Not a bad film in it's own right but looks shoddy effects wise compared to the more recent Incredible Hulk Film. I like what Ang Lee tried to achieve here but not convinves that he chose the right genre for his experiment.

I bought this dvd as I enjoy action packed dvd,s The film was very sharp and colourfull as you would exspectfrom HD the film is well worth a look but if you are old enough to remember the original hulk although a very good film you will be disapointed at the amount of time you see the hulk, the disk and cover were in vgc as I have been lucky enough to get this on many tranactions with ebay.

The hulk is a very o.k film which is in so parts great but the film letdown is the running time. It gos on and on is some attempt to try and make you like the cast. however its a good nigth in and one to keep.

bought this for my little boy who loves it,he keeps watching it over and over again. watched it once myself it is quite different to the tv series which i remember but i still found it to be a good film.

it took a while to get going and when it did it was ok but still very boring. the only good thing was hulk jumping from one mountain to another

I think this is an action packed movie with great effects.
There is a great cast that work really well together.

i been collecting the marvels dvds that why i brought it, its a very good film but the case could of been in better shape, has the cover was broken inside.

Another fantastic Marvel characer brought to life on the big screen. With a comic style layout and camera angles it's very interesting to watch. The graphics are super and it's a must to see.

A young scientist working on a project to heal people very fast has an accdident while trying to save a colleague. When he gets mad he turns into a large green very strong thing. The army want a piece of him as does his dad who was imprisoned for his own experiments. This leads to a confrontation on many parts the army his dad and the whole world - can they accept him for who he really is.

GOOD FILM SHAME IT HAS BEEN PLAYED TO DEATH BY CERTAIN TV CHANNELS. OTHERWISE ITS GOOD TO WATCH. A SO SO FOR ANY COLLECTION.

Very good film. Well mad. great special effects. Story line let it down a little but was still very good.
