Magnificently clever

This is just a brilliant film. It's full of clever in-jokes about the wolf-film genre including a marvellous pair of mock-AmericanWerewolf transformations taken to extremes and a marvellous arrangement of 'Bad Moon Rising'. It also features a beautiful ballet scene (Midnight from Cinderella by Prokofiev) where as soon as the clock strikes midnight she changes into a marsupial werewolf!
For Prisoner fans there's the lovely Carole Skinner (aka Nola McKenzie).
For film buffs there's a marvellous skit on Michael Winner, as well as a million little references and clever details.
There's lovely footage of the tragic extinct Thylocene (worth buying just for that frankly) and some really grotesque/erotic scenes including a wonderfully vaginal close-up of a female werewolf's marsupial pouch.
I cannot gush enough about this movie! It's grossly under-rated, probably because of its numbered sequel status, but it's nothing at all like the disturbing "The Howling" and is in no way trying to cash in on the success of the series. It really stands alone and is just a wonderfully weird, unusual, entertaining film.
