Hot Shots / Hot Shots Part Deux (DVD 2001)

Hot Shots is a slapstick comedy in the vein of Airplane/Naked Gun, that spoofs the Rambo, and military films of its time.
Like most such films it is a hit sometimes with its jokes, others just totally fall flat.
Worth a watch for giggle, it is only short.

Hot Shots Part deux sees the return of Topper Harley, and some more fun and adventures sending up films of its time.
Most of the jokes you saw in Hot Shots, but again, worth a watch for a giggle, and they are only short films.

Both the films are excellent. The oldies are the best. Had me cracking up all the way through on both of them. Both of the films are that good that my manager wanted to buy them.

2 films that spoofed the entire genre of war films,Hot Shots! and Hot Shots! part Deux rips into the classic film genre with zeal...the first lampoons the classic Top Gun film with style,leaving you with plenty of laughs from both the spoken and the visual aid gags.
The second sends up all the classic war films,starting with kickboxer,then onto Rambo, to scenes from apocalypse now and many other war based films(look out for all the cameo's from other major stars and other films,like T2)
for comedy and laugh-out-loud factor,this box set certainly is...a Hot Shot!

1st film is a spoof of topgun and im not sure if the 2nd is a spoof for anything

But it is a great film

A good comedy spoof, with Charlie Sheen and lloyd Bridges at their best. A firm that you can watch again and again and still see bits that you missed the last time.

this is a silly funny film its a good idea to watch it with your mates and maby have a few drinks to make you laugh alot its worth it as a group film.

What a classic! A laugh a minute comedy fest is a spoof of "Top Gun".Topper Harley is reluctant to join the Air Force because of past events, but he is eventually persuaded.The jokes are often on the bullseye and Bridges steals the show as an amazingly incompetent Officer whose never landed a plane in his life.

having seen both the films when they were released in cinemas,thoroughly enjoying the comical talents of charlie sheen in the leading roles, it was lloyd bridges who stole both films, with his side splitting portrayal of firstly a navy admiral, then as president in part two.
hot shots is a spoof of the blockbuster 'top gun', whilst part two is a spoof of the 'rambo' movies. if you liked the 'airplane' movies - you will love these.

having recently watched 'hot shots' on tv with my eight year old son, who was in tears at lloyd bridges continuingly getting bumped and bashed, asked me to buy the film.

browsing ebay was delighted to see that both films came as a two disc set in one package, and with the price well under a tenner - too good too miss.

i have watched them so many times since i bought them i now know them word for word, and still have to watch when my son plays them.

so many one-liners and great acting, its a great pick me up guaranteed to make you chuckle.

if you have a wicked sense of humour you cant go wrong with these two films....

FILMS ARE VERY FUNNY, MY SON WANTED THEM FOR AGES AND I AM GLAD WE COULD AT LAST GET THEM. VERY REASONABLE AND RECEIVED QUICKLY.
