Home Alone / Home Alone 2 - Lost In New York (DVD 2004)

These films are great.
I have them on video, but the kids have worn them out, by watching them so many times.
These are the best two film out of the four made. Would recomend to anyone of any age.

A Very enjoyable DVD set, that makes a brilliant gift for any child or adult young at heart. A classic childrens comedy and Great all round family entertainment! A must have set.

I brought this dvd because i am slowly changing over to all dvd and all the titles i have on viedo i want on dvd and they don't take up so much storage space. This dvd is fun to watch when you want a bit of light relief. Thanks.

This is an old film about a little boy left behind by accident by his family when they went on holiday. The little boy had an adventure all on his own. I loved this film when i was young so i bought it for my son, my son loves the first and second home alone he laughs at it from start to finish. A family movie you can watch again and again.

These are the funniest films ever!! guaranteed to make all the family laugh.
It is suitable for all ages with bags of action mainly landing the two villans into trouble with hilarious results. Would recommend to anyone.

my daughter really liked the film so thought i would buy it for her she hasn't stopped watching it she likes 1 more then 2. there is nothing i don't like about it

Love the films the first tow are the best. My kids watch and watch them again and again. Bought this to replace a video that had started to break up.

2 great films for getting your children in the festive mood. fun for children and adults alike. i keep mine in the attic with the christmas decorations and play it as part of a tradition.

I have bought this for my 8 year old son who has never seen it, they are magical christmas films and a must see for all, i loved them myself as a child and i am sure he will too.

Home Alone is an excellent Christmas feel good film based uopn the experience of an 8 year old left home alone over the holidays when his family fly off to France and forget he's in the attic after misbehaving at dinner the night before.
Almost the entire film is spent with Kevin (Macauley Culkin) outwitting 2 burglars intent on robbing all the neigbourhood houses, one played by the excellent Joe Pesci. Many ingenious methods of deterrent are used to thwart the efforts of the burglars.
Along the way he grows up emotionally and begins to appreciate his missing family. He also befriends his old neighbour whom he formerly feared, helping him to make contact with his family again.
Eventually firstly Kevin's mother then remaining family make it back after being stuck in France for a happy ending. Part of the film follows Kevin's mother's frantic attempts to get police to visit the house then her cross country trip with John Candy's troop of musicians in a van to get back home to Kevin.
It's a film that follows all the cliches of a feel good Christmas film but it still works and is a treat on a rainy afternoon.

Home Alone made McCauley Caulkin a household name.
It is the story of a boy left at home by mistake by his parents over Christmas.
Then two useless burglars try to get into the house, but Kevin thwarts all their efforts in superb slapstick comedy form.
Still enjoyable to watch, even after all these years.

Home Alone 2 is much the same really. Same idea, same characters, and almost the same stunts. A poor relation of the first.

A smashing film for the family to get you in the mood for christmas on a Autumn Windy Afternoon, 5 star.

I remember always wanting to be in his position so I could beat the crap outta some bad guys. The second film gets more amusing, with a lot more pain for the 'Wet'/'Sticky' bandits lol

I would def rec watching this, as although an older film , it is very funny
