Holly Cole is one of Canada’s Premier Female Jazz Vocalists. As a lover of all things Canadian: I found Holly Cole to have a unique voice with an unusual twist. If you take fellow Canadian; Diana Krall, and add richness and versatility to the vocals – you get Holly Cole.
In this CD Album: ‘The Best Of’, Holly has taken timeless hits such as "I Can See Clearly Now", but most emotionally is her rendition of Elvis Costello's passionate "Alison". Her varied, nuanced delivery makes Costello sound like a rubbish pub-singer.
This is without a doubt all of her best hits on one CD – the only songs missing from this wonderful CD are “Que Sera” and my favourite Holly Cole song; “Neon Blue”.
Totally recommended for anyone interested in Jazz, Easy Listening or Emotional Music!
