I simply wanted a notebook that could do everything a standard computer could do and this is the product that gave you this with the added security of finger recognization to boot.
One gripe is the low battery power, that's why the power cord is invaluable, but if you are on the go, a standard train journey would not hurt it's power in any way.
Watch for the freeze up screens once you start getting past the twenty or so gigabytes. Best to back up as soon as possible or get yourself an extra memory stick because HP, in their infinate wisdom does tend to go into one regarding it's back up service and look how much memory your using here mode.
Overall, a good buy and will definatly be a contender well into next year.

a couple of years old now these laptops but still can hold there own great finger print reader for security upgradable memory up to 4gb ram dvd rewriter more than capable of doing most things you can throw at it

) It is such a pity that they no longer make this laptop. It is such a reliable workhorse that anyone depending on thier laptop should still look for refurbished items. We have three and have had five others models that have all failed on us!
Go for the top spec that you can find simply for speed.

) I've been rolling this laptop out to my business clients for 3 or 4 years now.
This model is a workhorse and easy to service or upgrade (i.e. finding and replacing parts). Battery life is average (about 2 hours of doing work, when battery is new), but most of my users stay thethered anyway.
