Really good hoover, cleans the house in a fraction of the time due to the two power settings, gets into all the niggly corners in the house, would recommend it to anyone who wishes to purchase a Henry. Best Hoover ever, better than a Dyson

i love it,to me beats the dyson anyday, easy to use, loads of suction and power, the reason i bought one was,i had a builder who made loads of mess but assured me that he would clean up,i looked at his hoover and thought, yeah right.that was when i knew henry was good because if you know a builder mess seems to follow them, not here his henry cleaned up like no other,oh and it cleans the car out.no bad eh.

I bought this Henry vacuum cleaner because my old one had lost it's wheels, but was in still good working order. I wouldn't consider any other brand I love Henry because it is a very uncomplicated vacuum cleaner, easy to change the bag and picks up almost everything without getting ruined.Really durable.

This is my second Henry. The first one's still going strong, and I bought this one to keep in my van and use in other people's houses (I'm one of those messy builders). The first one was a replacement for a Dyson DC01, and I quickly realised what a superior design Henry is. It's powerful, quiet, and pretty hard to break. The hose and all the tools are simple and cheap to replace. I'm sometimes irritated by its inane smiling face, but when I've had enough of it I guess it would be easy to obliterate with a can of spray-paint.

very powerful industrial hoover, I bought it because, all the hoovers I had kept breaking and we had one in work, that I really liked, it seened be indestructable, take a lot of use and I liked its performance, so I decided to get it.
exellent hoover, prob the pest hoover you can get, if there are any hoovers better than this out there, it would have to be amazing.

  Little workhorse!

The little Henry is a very good hoover and excellent for what I need it for at the moment, i.e. cleaning debris and dust from the house we are renovating and in which we will live very soon. I use it bagless (I tried with the bag but I did not feel it worked very well with it) and it is very easy to empty every now and then. My only criticism would be that the hose sould be a bit wider so that the suction does not get blocked now and then by larger debris.

I have had a Henry before which never went faulty, okay you don't get all the gadgets a Dyson has, but if you want something that does the job of vacuuming wonderfully, then Henry is unbeatable. The suction power is incredible and it is simple to use. Don't forget the cheapest Dyson costs nearly twice (£160) as much as a Henry (£90) and according to independent tests the Dyson is much more unreliable then most other vacuum cleaners. If you want something fashionable go for the Dyson, if you want something that won't let you down and does a wonderful job as a vacuum cleaner then I suggest you go for a Henry.

  HENRY VACUUM CLEANERS: RUGGED WORKHORSES
Review created: 30/07/09
by:

James Dyson used to be flavour of the month with his range of vac cleaners, but I have found that the more compact and simpler design of the Henry range offer consistantly higher vacuum power and easier operation.

It has the disadvantage of using a bag, but these are high capacity and don't need changing as smaller cylinder models.

The controls are simple and easy to see (how many times have you used an unfamiliar machine and spent ages just looking to spot the low profile on/off switch). All you have with the Henry is the bright red on/off switch and the green hi/low power switch.

The suction power from the motor is superb. The air filter is easy to get to, and needs the occassional shake-out or wash in warm water if suction level drops.

The dust input hole is large diameter, which means that, unlike other vacs, internal blockages are very rare with this type of design.

The really great feature is the power cord storage. On some other makes, you hand wind the cable between cable holders mounted on the handle, and the cable is always falling off. Or maybe you have experianced the spring operated cable drum, which as the spring ages, refuses to wind up the final length of the power cord.

With the Henry you lift the crank handle, hand rotate the cable drum, and the cable is fully retracted in under 5 seconds. Nothing to fall off, and no irratating end piece that won't return to the drum. If you have experianced fiddling with the cable for 5 minutes after completing vacuuming, then you will appreciate the simplicity of the Henry system.

A wide range of attachments increase the versatility of the unit. High power, large capacity bag, high visibility controls, fast cable rewind system all make for an excellent machine.

The large air entry aperture and big air filter mean that the Henry doesn't quickly block-up if you vacuum up grit, sand etc. It also doesn't have lengthy internal air ducts, minimising blockages. For these reasons, the Henrys are well suited to commercial/industrial applications.

The Henry range can be bought new from around £90.00, although some cheaper used models can often be found in your local paper or eBay.
