Heatwave were one of the best disco / funk band's of the late 1970's. Their music was paramount with great disco/funks tracks such as Boogie Night, Send Out For Sunshine, Super Soul Sister.
Disco became corny and unfairly great bands such as Heatwave got labeled with the unfashionable disco tag towards the very end of the 1970's. There was a little more to Heatwave's music than the average disco band, with great chord progressions, tight harmonies, and funky rhythms their music still holds up today.
They don't record music like Heatwave anymore, this current generation is certainly missing out!
