A Great Family Film with many Great Special Effects and Eddie Murphy as always at his best.
A Family must survive the Ghosts & Strange goings-on in the Manor before the Clock strikes 13. A Funny Film with a touch of Romance.
My Daughters Loved it and it is a film that would definitely be watched again.
A Treat for the Family.

I BOUGHT THIS DVD BECAUSE I AM ALWAYS ON THE LOOK OUT FOR NEW CHILDREN/FAMILY MOVIES FOR MY CHILDREN, PLUS WE HAVE BEEN INTO THE HAUNTED MANSION AT THE DISNEY RESORT WHICH WAS BRILLIANT, SO IT WAS GREAT TO SEE HOW REALISTIC THE HAUNTED MANSION RIDE IS TO THE FILM. EVEN THOUGH IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE SCAREY IT IS ALSO VERY FUNNY. THE DVD HAS LOADS OF SPECIAL EFFECTS AND IS GREAT ALL ROUND ENTERTAINMENT. IT IS ALSO THE FIRST FILM I HAVE BOUGHT OFF E.BAY AND WAS RELIEVED TO RECEIVE A GENUINE DVD AND NOT A COPY WHICH I KNOW SOME E.BAYERS HAVE BEEN UNFORTINATE TO RECIEVE OFF OTHER SELLERS.

Ive seen this movie on sky But it bears no comparison to the dvd. The quality is so much better and theinteractive items kpt the kids involved and entertained for ages.

I never recieved this item, it was a scam, I can't say any more, nobody including Pay6pal wanted to know, they even said that they did not recognose the transaction

YOU HAVE TO SEE ITHaving converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film gem in digital format. If you watch this in widescreen format, it really does the battle scene great justice; coupled with surround sound, you'll be gripped by the amazing cinematography. I would recommend the director's cut that includes scenes about the relationship between the lead character and his estranged wife and helps you to understand the motivation behind his decision. The run time is 183 minutes for the directors cut and 120 minutes for the cinema version. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of extras, which any fan of this classic would expect to be included. There's only a 20-minute interview with the director and other shot "making-of" vignettes.

This is a childrens movie that is pretending to be a movie for grown ups. The storyline is run-of-the-mill and fairly predictable. It was a little dissapointing, however the special effects worked well, though sometimes a little scarse. The boy, Michael was a good actor and would be great in a better and longer comedy role. Eddie Murphy was his usual persona, but not as funny as I would expected from him. Overall I would say kids will enjoy this but adults may find it a bit tedious and a bit too long drawn out.

i really like this film, full of comedy and a great family film.

my daughters 4 and she doesnt like watching it because of the ghosts.
my sisters 8 and she enjoys the film.

Its alittle cheesy but it is aimed for kids.

This film is great within the boundaries your a child,
I brought it for a family member she loved it,
the film is a great classic film for a child will go down aswell as the goonies or ghostbuster in my own childhood.

worth a buy if you can get it cheap.

i like all of eddy murphy films and as hes the lead character in the film thats why i decided to buy it but i also think the film over all is very entertaining it keeps you hooked all the way through and its like living a quiz as there are puzzles that the viewer along with the characters in the film can try try and solve.

When real estate agent Jim Evers decides to take a detour on his family break to check out a mansion he has been asked to sell, you know that the family break is over. Stranded ny a torrential downpour the Evers family take refuge with Edward Gracey in his mansion, and so begins a haunting adventure that is made even stranger by the links between Sara Evers, Jim's wife and Gracey's old girlfriend who supposedly took her own life.
A typical feel good mystery that brings a family closer together through their adventures.

super film so glad i bought it, whole family enjoyed it,couldn't find it anywhere apart from this seller, what would i do without ebay?

I brought it for my daughter who is 6yrs old. We both thought it was a really good film, though she did hide behind pillow at one scary part of film. I wouldn't let children under 6yrs watch it as there are some scary scenes.

I liked it because I had seen it before and when I saw it on ebay at such a reasonable price I bought it straight away

I bought this product for my two daughters aged 11 and 13. They rented this dvd before and fell in love with it so I thought for about £5 it's enough to pay for something they both wanted. I personally haven't seen this film but from what I've heard it's a funny film which is suitable for most ages. Overall this DVD was an excellent buy and I would recommend it to anyone.

I had this film on VHS and I wanted to upgrade to DVD. It is a good film and reminds me of the Bob Hope film Cat and the Canary which I have also purchased.
It is colourful creepy and funny a good film to show anyone

I love eddy murphy & I wanted to see this film on the big screen but never got round to it, still it came out on dvd later on in the year & was worth the wait. he`s such a great guy & can take up any roll in a film male or female. you know when you watch one of his films it`s going to make you laugh and its great family entertainment, I would give the film a 4star rateing as it seems be be the same story lines as meny of the older films but hey dont get me wrong its still a great film for mum dad & the kids.

My family loves this film, its a really great comedy that we can all sit down and watch together....

Have started getting into disney films more as they are totalBEEN INTO THE ly the best type of film for no violence or bad language.
have been in the haunted mansion at disneyland resort paris and thought it was cool... didnt know there was a film about it till came back and searched on ebay. Is a very good combo of scary and funny and of course a totally fab film with eddie murphy. the dvd is packed full of special effects and games which i was totally surprised about!. it makes the dvd fun last for hours!
buying from ebay i was skeptical of the quality and if i would get a genuine or not. i was extatic... the dvd was perfect... no scratches, marks and the genuine hologram.
totally better than described!
i would recomend this dvd to almost anyone who wat to see another disney great. i would say young children need to be acompanied as it can get scary and they may not see the finny side of some of the jokes. but othwer than thank
