I have just bought this on Dvd and absolutely loved it, I didn't get to see it at the cinema and was waiting to buy it and wasn't disappointed.
The special effects were brilliantand the characters were played fabulously as with the others.
Older kids that have read the book may be a bit disappointed as its such a long book alot had to be cut out to make the film a decent length but mine still enjoyed it a great deal.
I would say however that it is alot darker than the previous films and i would not recommend it for young children as it would be far to scary for them.
All in all a great movie!

This film is great, the actors have definitely been improving in skill, the new character of professor moody was well played (although his description in the books is quite the opposite of what we see in the film!). These films have certainly been improving, I was a little disappointed with the first film, thought the second was a huge improvement, was greatly please with the third and the fourth left me breathless! The effects are stunning, costumes have been well thought about and the scenery is authentic. These films, although becoming increasingly entertaining, have been drifting further away from the books and even further away from the child-friendly genre. In the first we see a plant that eats people, a three headed dog and many other things, in the second we see flesh eating spiders hungry for a taste of harry and ronald as well as a gigantic snake paralysing people in the castle. In the third film; children in the cinema can be seen cowering due to the demon-like dementors in black cloaks and a werewolf chasing our heroes. The fourth film strays further than all of these with a teenage boy dying on screen, a horrific C.G.I voldemort complete with spooky voice, an overweight spotty midget cutting off his own hand on screen and the entire general atmosphere of the film is more horror than thriller. Please don't get me wrong, this is good for a childrens film but I would suggest watching it with them the first time to make sure thay are okay.
This film is well made, suspense throughout, highly entertaining and although it doesnt cling to the detail of the book it does make an excellent tribute to the series. The ending, I thought, almost guarenteed a sequel to this film. It was similar to the ending of "return of the jedi" (star wars 1980), leaving a bad guy still at loose and several problems that need fixing by our heroes. This is one of the best films of it's year and I strongly suggest you buy or at least watch it some time.

No matter how much i ramble on about this film i dont think ill quite get across how stunningly impressive it is.
the goblet of fire, the 4th film so far, is undoubtly the best yet. i even saw it in the cinema 5 times to try and convince myself that it really wasnt as good as i kept telling myself it was, but it is!!!!
unlike the other 3 films i wouldn't recommend this film for all the family as very young children will probably be petrified by it, as my 3 year old nephew was within the 1st minute, no joke! however its still one of the best films all year if not ever!(in my opinion) this film really entertains you non-stop for the full 3 hours that it lasts and drags you through a series of emotions no matter how many times you watch it.
unlike the earlier HP films, the goblet of fire has impressive special effects throught and is amazingly directed.
im so entrigued by the ending i cant wait for next year and im patiently trying not to read the 5th book just to make the film that little bit better. i love this film and would entice everyone to buy it, unless of course, you dont want to be entertained.

  Another Great Fantasy Film !!!

I think that it is safe to say that I have never been more eager for a film to be released onto the big screen. I think it is also safe to say that it has been a long, long time since I have enjoyed a film so much. Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire is the greatest and latest of the saga, and was nothing short of beautiful. It's plot evolves around the triwizard tournament, a legendary event that brings three wizard schools together for a series of magical competitions. Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliff) mysteriously finds himself unwillingly taking part as the forth champion. The story progresses through the three events and his struggle to survive them. All the time he is being setup for a terrorifing show-down with 'you know who' in a graveyard. As I mentioned previously, this film is beautiful. The characters are extremely deep and played to perfection by the now more experienced Daniel, Emma, and Rupert. The story is perfect and involving with more than a few twists. There are some stunning scenes thoughtout which enhances the film. It is the darkest to date and there is a very powerful and moving death scene but it is also unbelievable watchable and enjoyable. At one point my knees started to felt weak as the film began to conclude. To summarise Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire is a truly amazing film that can be enjoyed by all the family. I am counting the days to the release of the next film.

For me i love the harry potter films, although with some carrying on films they tend to loose there creativity and suspense, but i must say with Harry Potter that isnt the case.

The fourth instalment of the film is just as good as the first if not better, it makes you think i cant wait for the next one.
It has a whole new lot of characters in it with very different personalities, you even get to see voldamont in this film!
It has some great graphics and all in all its a great film, if i was wanting to watch something magical, and something thats out of this world id definatly recommend this film.
It is one that you can watch over and over again, im definatly going to buy it when its out on dvd.

Its definatly worth the money, trust me its a film to watch.:)

Harry Potter, well hes back again and this time he's abit more grown up. Strugling with the opposite sex whilst fighting evil wizards Harry really has got his work cut out for him.

The goblet of fire is a great film however, I personnaly preffered the others. But please dont let this put you off. It is a must see for any Harry Potter fan or even if your a fan of Lord of the Rings this might just take your fancy to.

All in all a good film and definetly worth a few hours of your life.

Rating: 4 out of 5

  A disapointing purchase

Having decided to buy the new Harry Potter DVD I looked around the listings to see if I could pick up a bargan. Because all my other HP DVD's were originals I wanted to carry that on. I searched listings and discarded the ones which were clearly copies. The one I did decide on did not seem like a copy it said new and was an import. It was buy now so I clicked and paid, it was delived quite quickly. I was hugely dissapointed when I opened it clearly it was a copy. I left negative feedback to reflect this dissapointment, only to recieve the same back and clearly very sarcastic too. Saying I didnt know the difference between new and original. In my view if a listing says its new it should be an original not just a new pirate copy. I should have look more closely to the sellers other feedback because there were other buyers who had been misled and left feedback saying so. This has taught me to look more closely to other buyers comments before going ahead with a purchase. If most of them are happy good chance i will be with the seller. This has not put me off using Ebay just made me more careful.

What i liked about this fourth film was the action and special effects which there is many and also like the story behind the Characters, what i dislike about it was it took ages to get started and when it did it was still too slow in parts however i still think its the best Harry Potter Film so far compare to the three before

One of the best Harry Potter films made so far. It was also the best book and most interesting and dark film of the series (other than the most recent film). One that can be enjoyed by both adults and children on different levels - it takes you into a world of fantasy and highlights the very real danger that Harry, Ron and Hermione are in. Brilliant!

Harry Potters just get better and better and it doesn't matter how many times you watch them they are enjoyable! This is as entertaining to adults as it is to children alike. However, we are starting to get into "darker" times in potters life and may be a little scary for younger children.

If you watch this in widescreen format, it really does the battle scene great justice; coupled with surround sound, you'll be gripped by the amazing cinematography. There are so many extras which made this purchase that little bit more fun. great buy.

Technically brilliant and artistically accomplished: an entertaining adventure movie for the older kid-at-heart. A must-see for Harry Potter fans but, of course, a less detailed version of the tale in the book.
