Green Day - International Superhits (CD 2001)

This is proberly my favourite CD by Greenday, no matter how many albums they release they are great, but I soon bore of most of the songs, this album though has been played on my CD player I have had to buy at least 4 other CDs of this as I listen to it so much it starts to skip! With some very catchy lyrics and great riffs and very melodic tunes, it makes this one of my top ten albums ever.

I knew there was a Green Day song that I liked from 1995, but could not remember the title so bought this album thinking the scattergun approach would work. It was on and I ended up listening to the whole album in the car, at work, home, mp3 player. If you wonder what the Green Day fuss is, buy this album first. You will be converted. I now have to buy the others. The mix of their hits is excellent, with punk rock to ballads (Time of your life), equally impressive.

The album is a complication of some of the best they have ever wrote. If someone told me this is a look back on what they have achieved I would disagree as when I heard this I thought it was the beginning. The beginning for these guys was actually Dookie (correct me if I'm wrong) 1991. Good Album, highly recommended. They have released many albums since then, all of them, top quality, also highly recommended, to name a few, Insomniac, Warning and my Favourite, Nimrod. When I say the beginning I mean they have been going for over a decade now but they aren't (better not be) ready to stop. Their latest album American Idiot deems me correct, I would say. International Superhits is a compilation album of most of Greendays greatest hits with 2 new tracks at the start, Maria: a seriously cool song and Poprocks and coke : relaxing.
This Album contains a wide range of songs from the heaver punk songs like Nice Guys Finish Last to the mellowed out songs like Good Riddance (time of your life) This album contains tracks from the bands previous 4 albums, Dookie, Warning, Insomniac and Nimrod. It is unfortunate that songs from the first 2 albums were not available to put on the album.
You really should buy this album for the extra tracks alone but to get the compilation as well is a bonus.

This is effectively a Green Day greatest hits Album, It provides the perfect start for anyone who wants to get into Green Day as this is a collection of their best songs to date. This album was released Pre American Idiot so don't expect to find and of that on there, and i think it carries a much lighter tone; these are songs about masturbation rather then political songs. Personally, I Wouldn't Buy this album If you own all of Green Day's old material, cos you would already have all the songs. Overall I love it and it is probably one of my most played cds in my collection... It would be rude not to buy it...

This was a collection that was hoped would be a holding position while Green Day re-visited their music. Rumour had it the next intended album to be released was scuppered when thieves broke into their Recording Studio, stealing all their material. The result being the much later totally re-written and re-worked 2004 release, the Hugely successful American Idiot.
If you like American Idiot then this is a great companion album, giving a glimpse of Green Day's earlier and more popular songs.

I enjoyed the last two albums so I thought I'd buy this, a few songs are similar sounding but there are a lot of gems like Good riddance, warning, basket case etc. well worth buying.

Great stuff.....tbh i decided to buy these because i never actually had a copy and i felt i had to because i was lucky enough to get tickets to see them in october XD

brill album, been a greenday fan for a few years now, went to see them at milton keyes bowl, simply fantastic. Think i have most of there albums now, had this album already some tracks were getting to be a bit distorted so needed another one. If you are thinking of getting your first greenday album, you can't get much better.

The group Geen Day are one of the top bands on the scene at he moment this cd contains most of their best hits.

its just a classic! this is when green day were ,in my oppinion, at their best before they became too commercial and ove rpopular with all of the old classics from their best albums put into one great cd, ou cant go wrong, i bought it because i lost my version.

I Like the music by green day it was one of the albums i had missing from my collection.The copy I have just purchased was in exellent condition and well worth what i paid for it.

If your a true Green Day fan or just like a few of their more recent songs this is a great album to buy! Love this album! This album is their greatest hits album. It contains many hits, like "Longview," "Basket Case," "Welcome to Paradise," "Walking Contradiction," and many more. From "Dookie" to "Warning," this CD has it all. There are even two bonus tracks, which are new songs, and one song that you could only get from a movie sountrack.
