This film was panned by the critics at the time because of it's pro US involvement in Vietnam propaganda. However, if you ignore the propoganda, you are left with a very exciting war film.
There is plenty of noisy action, John Wayne plays the same part that he's played in all his war films. There is his usual blend of noisy action, sentiment and corny humour.
John Wayne fans will love it!
