this fantabulous two CD set from Phil Lynott and the boys, the finest collection of Lizzy songs in one package. Greatest Hits delivers a complete collection of absolutely every essential track the Rock legends have offered us over the last 38 years, and is a must have for every Lizzy fan. Featuring such classics as 'The Boys Are Back In Town', 'Whisky In The Jar', 'Waiting For An Alibi' and 'Dancing In The Moonlight'. This thing rocks! for those unfamilar with lizzy this collection is a must have.

I have listened to all the Lizzy hits compilations of the past and this is the most 'complete' and also the best sound quality. The sound is far improved over previous CD's of the band.

My interest in the band was rekindled after seeing Limehouse Lizzy recently and a browse through eBay's huge catalogue of CDs for sale came up with this superb gem of a double CD which I won for £6.70 + £1.50 p&p. To add to my joy, eBay had sent me a £10 voucher so they paid for It !!
Lizzy's music and Phil Line-'em-Up's vocals are simply timeless. This was the Rock end of good music in a punk era which had little Rock and even less Roll.
Great "Good Time", lively, lyrical music to bring a smile and keep it there for a couple of hours getting through both CDs.
And if you get the chance to see Limehouse Lizzy: don't miss 'em. Hugely true to the music and magnificent live.

This is the compilation which defines the most criminally overlooked rock band in history. One of the greatest songwriters of the late 20th century, backed up by a troop of amazing guitarists, with Gorham, Robertson and Moore blasting out riffs and, more importantly, some of the greatest guitar solos ever throughout each song on this compilation. This band is a monolith of rock music and thankfully this compilation shows this very well.

my only quibble is that perhaps this shouldve been called 'the very best of' or something like that. In that case southbound and massacre couldve been added too, as well as the rest of the black rose album. The packaging is great also, as well as the music, and the story of lizzy is presented inside along with some great photos of the band etc, in fact the whole package is amazing.

For a new listener to thin lizzy, this album is something which is essential and which is enduring - most serious rock collections i believe should have this amongst them. Trust me and buy it.
