Editorial Reviews
4 stars (out of 5) - ...this is Walker's best studio album since BLUE SOUL in 1989....the San Francisco blues kingpin sings as if his life were on the line, and plays sinewy, lean, commanding guitar....GREAT GUITARS is the most striking all-star bash in recent memory...
Down Beat (06/01/1997)

...He can...play electric blues solos within the form and without the cliches, which is really ear-grabbing....I found myself thinking several times per song: 'Wow, where did that note come from?'
Musician (10/01/1997)

3 Stars (out of 5) - ...the stand-out songs are 'In God's Hands', an acoustic duet with Taj Mahal and 'High Blood Pressure', its truculent vibe laid down by Robert Lockwood Jr..
