Gram Parsons - GP/Grievous Angel (CD 1994)

brilliant album . captures the times the atmosphere & lead the way for the eagles & other bands to follow can be very country at time but thats not such a bad thing . definately worth buying & great value having two albums on one !!! & he used elvis's band throughout both albums

I did not know about this artist until recently, and am very impressed with the quality of his music... he was before his time for sure, and it is a real pity that he is not around anymore to make more music!!

This album was reviewed in the Sunday Times a few weeks ago, and held up as an example of country music crossing into mainstream pop. This is demonstrated by the track Love Hurts, a smash hit later for an American artist (Jim Capaldi?). The music is of its age, and easy listening.

No Country Collection is any where near complete without Gram Parsons work.

Brilliant albums with Gram and Emmy-Lou in top form. Without this would Country Rock have evolved? Gram was a talent that died too early, who knows what heights he may have reached?
This is feel-good music that brings country rythyms and rock beats together and which entertains with a capital E.
