Sin City OST Original Score Rodriguez Revell Debney

This soundtrack (mainly the score, but includes two tracks with lyrics) is without doubt one of the best scores I've ever heard. Scores, even more than mere compilation soundtracks, can be a hit and miss affair. Often, when you take a score out of context of the movie it doesn't work.
Not so here. Sin City the score is every bit as tense, gritty, moody and atmospheric as Sin City the movie. It's an absolute rollercoaster - even if you've never seen the movie, even if you're not a great fan of the movie - this soundtrack will have you on the edge of your seat.
If I had to make one small criticism of the recording, it would be that not all the tracks gel together as a whole. Fact is, they are masterpieces in their own right. Sequencing them together can be difficult, as to which goes where - do they mirror the movie plot or do you sequence them in terms of mood?
Perhaps the awkward sequencing is inevitable as the score was a collaborative effort between Graeme Revell, Robert Rodriguez and John Debney.
But that's a minor flaw.
This soundtrack is a pure aural adrenalin. If you're a fan of the movie or tense soundscapes, it's hard to imagine that you might not enjoy this gem!
