The neighbours will say it's a damn good album.

Their most consistent pop record so far, after a few listens every single track grows to being a substantial pop track - there isn't one comprehensive weak track on the whole thing. The album artwork moved the girls into a new direction as if to say 'we're Xenomania now'.
Starting with the fantastic 5 singles, The Show, Love Machine (which alone are worth buying the cd for), the slightly incipid but catchy ballad I'll stand by you, Jump and Wake Me Up- by the time the first album track kicks in you wonder where the tempo has gone. Deadlines and Diets is slow but clever, and takes a while to get into. After this you have the cheesy but catchy Big Brother, about some creepy voyeur as opposed to the TV show or novel, presumabley. Moving into another power ballad, Hear me Out, this one takes a while to grow on you but once it does it's not a skipable track. None of them are so far. Then comes Graffiti my soul. Pure genius in pop form, fantastic production, darker, seedier lyrics - this track summarises why they just had to keep working with Xenomania. The alum progresses into the again, catchy, Real Life and the fantastic version of Here we go both of which are singalong classics. Moving into the final fast track of the album, Kimberley aided, Thank me Daddy is another Big Brother sort of track - it's about sleeping around and your dad not knowing one assumes, and it's a great song to end the fast set on as we then move into two similar yet wholly good in their own right ballads. Nadine has one, and Nicoa has one and it's as if pointing to them further as the two female vocalists of the band over the others.
Overall it's a fantastic pop record, and it will take a few listens to get into some of the tracks but to understand the progression of Girls Aloud, and purely to own some of their best ever singles, it's worth getting hold of.
