Album Notes
Ghost includes: Michio Kurihara (guitar); Masaki Batoh.Includes liner notes from the Liason Office of the Dalai Lama. This is a "protest" album for a worthy cause from an important band. TUNE IN, TURN ON, FREE TIBET begins with the ominous "We Insist," which features an completely unintelligible, fuzz tone blasted voice. One can only guess at what the band is insisting. By the next track, however, Ghost is back on more familiar territory. "Comin' Home" is a first rate chamber-folk lament with an incredibly catchy outro, worthy of the Moscow Men's Chorus. The predominant use of acoustic guitars, hand percussion and flutes give this pretty disc a "Haight - Ashbury '67" aura. They even cover a Pearls Before Swine tune. But it's the absolutely stellar title track that will make you see colors. In thirty-three minutes it will take you from New Age to No Age and back, stopping at many uncharted regions along the way. Name check Steve Reich and Mirza; Will Ackerman and Sonic Youth. Tune in and turn on indeed.

Editorial Reviews
...the second track is classic Ghost, with a Viking male voice choir meeting a wavering recorder...the booklet's message from the Dalai Lama's liason office will inspire...politically apathetic youth.
