In a remote region of the Bering Sea, a boat salvage crew discovers the eerie remains of a grand passenger liner thought lost for more than 40 years. Once onboard, the crew must confront the ship’s horrific past and face the ultimate fight for their lives.

Ghost Ship is one of those films you can sit down with your feet up have a cuppa with a couple of biscuits! Once you get over the begining that is! It's great with some good twists in it it's well worth watching. An eerie ship and some nice looking chaps and a good story line what more could one ask for?!!

This film was a disapointment. Saw it at the Cinema when it came out. Expecting a good GHOST movie.... i mean the title does say "GHOST SHIP" for cows sake. So i was alittle surprised when all we really got to see was loads of blood and gore the whole way through the movie. I mean it was OK. the storyline was good. and the effects where excellent. but the gore was way to much!!!!.. If you LOVE blood and gore you will love this... esp the openning scenes where everyone on the deck gets chopped inhalf... it is absolutely grose!!!!!! Totally makes you wanna chuck. Anyway.. AS USUAL theres a Ghostly little girl in search of her mummy or whatever... God sake.. isnt there always? So she is pretty good when it comes to the ghosts. but she is really the only good ghost in this movie... i Praise the actress who played her! Weldone for making this movie actually SLIGHTLY what its suposed to be... "A GHOST STORY!".

I had many opportunities to watch the movie but didnt take them, as a result i had to buy the DVD......which i am glad i did. The movie wasnt as scary as i had first thought, just a but jumpy. Most of the ghost are friendly which i thought was a first! So no nighmares after this movie :P The twist at the end was unexpected but fabulous. The film left me wanting to see more! I highly recommend it!

Having converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film gem in digital format. If you watch this in widescreen format, it really does the battle scene great justice; coupled with surround sound, you'll be gripped by the amazing cinematography. I would recommend the director's cut that includes scenes about the relationship between the lead character and his estranged wife and helps you to understand the motivation behind his decision. The run time is 183 minutes for the directors cut and 120 minutes for the cinema version. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of extras, which any fan of this classic would expect to be included.

We sat down to what we thought would be a run of the mill 'Marie Celeste' type mild horror film but it soon burst into action. Set in modern day a salvage team sets off to locate a floating wreck believed to contain gold bullion. Little do they know the horror awaiting them. Quite shocking and disturbing scenes in places reminded me of "The Shining." Very good - recommmended.

Seen this film previouslu but enjoyed it enough to want to buy it on DVD - I found it a bit different so other so called 'horror' films.
I found it spooky rather than a horror.

i like it cos it a proper scary jumpy film n i bought it as it was so cheap now it free postage!! i dont know wat elsei can say but keep up with the free postage.

An amazing film, deffo a must see, not to scary for those who can't handle horrors loll :P, i would recomend to anyonee :D

great quality and sound! i enjoy gruesome films and this was one i have seen before and have wanted it ever since! it also tells a story that you understand straight away, it may not be to everyone's liking but i like this sort of film!

this film is brilliant, a very good horror and is very entertaining. Iv seen this film countless times but every time it gets better. if your into gore and quite a sad story this film is perfect for you.

We meet the six man crew of the Arctic Warrior as they are coming into port after a rather extensive journey out. They are all ready to go home, spend some time with their loved ones and get some rest and relaxation. That is until they meet up with Jack Ferriman (Desmond Harrington) who seems hell bent on getting them to team up with him to pull into port one of the most saught after missing Italian luxury ocean liners - the Antonia Graza.

After a while the crew - consisting of Captain Sean Murphy (Gabriel Byrne), Maureen Epps (Julianna Margulies), Dodge (Ron Eldard), Greer (Isaiah Washington), Santos (Alex Dimitriades) and Munder (Karl Urban) - all take the bait and agree to go out with the strange Ferriman and tow his find to shore. But the job might be just a little more than they bargained for. After the discovery of a huge sum of gold on the ship, unfortunate incidents begin to befall each of the crew and they find that someone is not at all who they represented themselves to be.

This film begins with one of the best surprise multi-death scenes I have ever seen in a mvoie..(and this is no lie). But at the beginning, you don't really know what it is you are witnessing. After Epps starts seeing little Katie Hargrove (Emily Browning) appear around the ship, you start to get a clearer picture of what is really going on aboard this Ghost Ship.

Ghost Ship really seemed to want to make some sort of statement about greed and what it does to people. Maybe that greed is evil and when you want too much, then your very soul is open to the elements of all that is bad and wrong with the world. Okay, maybe I am trying to be a little too 'deep'!

excellent movie..great scenes...altogether fanstastic 9/10

i like the look of the film and have heard though people its a excellent film i cant say much about it my self as i have not seen it at all im only on rating of other people this film is hard to find in shops.all i can say is i hope that i enjoy the film us much us other people.

A few enjoyable scenes but nothing special.
The opening scene is spectacular and the flashback scene in the middle of the movie is amazing, but the movie provides no scares and is more of a thriller or something other than a horror at least.
A one-watch wonder.

When i first heard of this film i was like 'yeah a ghost ship wooow how spooky not ' but watched it and it was really good especially for those of you that like ghost films and a bit of jumpy scenes and a great soundtrack. Desmond Harrington is soo worth watching it for he is soo yummy in this film after his debut in 'hole' this film 'ghost ship' is the far most memorable of his work with other great leading chracters to the story its great!

The morale of the story is this .. when a routine salvage operation turns horribly wrong the members on the boat come across a huge what looks abandoned ship however very spooky things start happening and chilling events unfold on the luxury ship that turns into a huge nightmare. but thats all igoing to say about the film otherwise to many things will be given away to easily !!

With great acting from Gabriel Byrne and Desmond Harrington its worth seeing !!!!!

Its very good movie - keeps you on your toes all the the way though and its not entirely predicatable. I'd watch it over and over again. Its a fiction movie not meant to reflect real paranormal investigations. But I think some of their ideas are quite accurate in fact and must have been researched with a paranormal investigator who knows what they're doing.

good basic horror story, not too complicated. good mix of the cast . a film you can watch over as you know you will have missed something.

bought as looked like it would be a good horror film, it has received mixed reviews from everyone, but its a decent enough film and worth a watch!

it is very frighting flim which i liked and plus i had one before, and it was damaged so i bought a new one for my husband. there is lots of blood in this flim so not for the faint hearted. it is based on a ship and body do appear like you would not normal see a human. and also moments were in the flim quite and and can make you jump i really like this flim and it is an 18 plus so think carefully would should wacth it. i would recomened this flim.

We decided to buy this film as we like horror films and Ghost Ship contains plenty of moments that will keep you on the edge of your seat and definately gets you thinking about what is going to happen next.
It was definately not made on a big budget that does not matter.
