Genesis - Live Over Europe 2007 (CD 2007)

Having seen Genesis live at Old Trafford on 07/07/07, this was the perfect purchase for me, to accompany the "When In Rome" DVD, and complete my Genesis music collection. The song set for the "Turn It On Again" tour was virtually perfect, satisfying any Genesis fan from day one to the end of the Phil Collins influenced material which concluded studio-wise in 1991. Unfortunately, the "Abacab" album was totally overlooked, and the selection of the title track from this album on the song set for the tour would have put the icing on the cake. That said, the appearance of tracks such as "Ripples", "The Carpet Crawlers", and the sublime "In the Cage" medley, was most welcome. The musicianship throughout the album is superb, proving that the group could still perform faultlessly in a live situation after a break of nearly fifteen years. Highly reccomended! 10/10.
