I finally went for a Garmin NuVi 200.

It took me quite a while to decide which Sat Nav to go for.
I was looking for a unit that had what I wanted i.e. U.K street level post code recognition, safety cameras loaded.
So I plumped for the Garmin NuVi 200, as it had all that I required at a good price - compared with others on the market.
I took it out of the box, put it straight into my vehicle using the mounting cradle provided, then plugged it in - and "Bingo" it was up and running.
On my first outing with it in operation it performed faultlessly, the voice gave clear and precise directions, also the safety camera locations were flagged up (although I do not go above posted speed limits - of course) anyhow it is an extra factor when you are in an area you are not familiar with.
On returning home after a day out using the unit, and putting it through it's paces - I interrogated the unit further to see what other extra functions were loaded on it, and it has where to find Points of Interest, Restaurants, Hotels, Petrol Stations etc, Set your home address as a favorite, A four digit pin-code for security, and the ability to adjust the voice volume and screen brightness to your particuler requirements.
I no doubt will find other extras it has in due course!
Needless to say I am highly satisfied with my purchase, so if you are like me and require the uk road network only this is the one for you.
