I bought it for my motorbike travels a while ago as a third (sounds geeky!) GPS device. In comparison to the other two (Gpsmap 60 and Mio a201 with Garmin Que software), it is really clunky and large, very slow and not legible enough. But for the price you get them at now (around 100 pounds used), you have to accept compromise.
Screen refresh is slow, so is route calculation, but you have to bear in mind that this model was conceived sometime in 2002-2004, so judge it within its own league. Of course, there are more flashy devices, touchscreen equipped and lightning fast (Zumo), but c'mon: pay 5 times as much? I don't think so and that's why I use this one with a RAM mount on my BMW.
By today's standards, definitely not an all-rounder, but for occasional trip use, especially in rough conditions, there is no real competition within the price range.
This is a very sturdy device when you compare it to the quite fragile one available on the market now. Because it is water resistant you can use it indoor and out doors too. Ideal for bike use. Bike bracket are quite easy to find.
its a great unit for wet weather.good for motor cycles.a little hard and expensive to get motor cycle bracket to fir some motorcycles.terrible for speed as the view of the mapping is very slow.nice big screen.alround certainly would'nt be my first choice of navigator.
