Purchased the Gecko as it is the smallest and lightest GPS on the market. Needed it for the Adventure Racing World Championships where small/light kit is essential.
Simple and easy to use, but now looking as little dated - it lacks a colour screen or the ability to dispaly maps. Battery life of 12 hours is limited.
Having said that it's cheap, robust and does the job. If you want a GPS for your car/boat then there are other far more suitable options on the market. If you want a GPS you can stow in the rucksack for emergencies then this is the one for you.
