I'm really pleased with my Finepix S5700 camera. The camera is easy to use and the manual is quite clear. The power consumption seems to be quite low and therefore battery life is good. The camera is fairly light so it is easy to keep steady and does not hang heavily around the neck.
Perhaps most the impressive features are the range of modes that can be used to suit a wide range of requirements e.g. I've taken some impressive shots of fireworks and on the other end of the scale beautiful close-ups of flowers. The large screen certainly makes a great difference when deciding upon the composition of a picture.

  FUJI S5700 DIGITAL CAMERA

The Fuji S5700 offers the near total package in one compact device and also has the added bonus of easy connectivity- compatable with vista! brilliant piece of kit for the price. On the down side the camera can be very complicated, especially if you want to utilise all the features. However with a bit of practice this should be easily overcome. It has a nice large 2.5" lcd, a digital viewfinder for traditional style use, you can use it in manual modes for aperture shutter speed etc, it dosn't suffer from shuter lag. It features the half depressed shutter button for focus, and takes truly superb photos. It has a stabilisation mode for photos taken on the 10x optical zoom, and is a briliant feature. The total zoom is 48x, 10x optical and4.8x dgial. It has stabilised video, which can be zoomed whilst recording. It accepts SD and XD memory cards up to 2 gb. I am very impressed with this camera, and havn't even scratched the surface of the features available. over-all if you are thinking about taking up photography as a hobby i would recommend this camera to hone your skills. 9.5/10.

3 years ago I aquired my first Fuji Camera, the S5500. What a superb piece of kit, I recently decided to upgrade because I had damaged the usb port on the camera and it would require twiddling to get it to work. Because this camera was so good I decided to find a simular type spec cam perhaps a later version, so I searched Ebay and found the s5700 and the s5800 Fuji finpix. After reading their description, I decided thier was not much between them and either model would do. I found several sellers in the UK and Internationally selling these items. By far the best buy was from Hong Kong, this seller offered a 3yr warranty and free 1gb memory card for £110.00 all in. Although the uk sellers were cheaper theirs were listed as refurbished. I enquired on both sites, and sent several emails to investigate more and found that time may be the decideding factor as I required this item asap and decided to go with the uk seller.

Although the camera arrive in plenty of time and looked in an excelant shape, there were some difference, the s5700 had a larger screen and faster upload and down load speed, the on/off fucntion was was better on the s5700, but found the set up and other fuctions slighlty challenging to use, especially the Mpixel set up. however I also found that the s5700 was not as good on close up shots and just using the normal lens the image was out of focus after the first bar, even using my macro lens this happen at bar 7. the s5500 was better and i could take detailed shots with a clear image. I considered the fact that perhaps thier was a fault with this item as it was described as refurbished.
The seller after I had contacted him with regards to this issue asked me to return it but i had to pay the postage I found this annoying and disappointed, because I had just spent over £90.00 buying this item which was described as working and in a good condition, when the return postage is added this would increase and I may have just as well brought from abroad. I have not left a feedback. because I hope this seller will except that I had paid out a lot of money and he assured me this was a fully tested and working item, and I also in my last email to him, had ask for a fully working item as I needed a dependerble working item.

Great camera. Comfortable to hold and takes super sharp photos both in natural light and indoors. Flash is automatic but can be overridden and not needed for most indoor shots.
A 2Gb card can hold over 1100 pics at full resolution and is a doddle to download to computer or direct to a printer.
The batteries seem to last for ages. Rechargables can also be used.
Zoom up to X40 using the 10 X optical zoom as well as the 4 X digital zoom. Suprememly sharp pics when using zoom.
Use the auto setting and leave all the technical bits to the camera, it works a dream.
All in all, a great little camera that compares very well with big boy slr's at a fraction of the price.

  Fuji s5700 camera
Review created: 12/07/08

Being a avid amature photgraphy I've often thought about getting a better camera. This camera (the Fuji Finepix S5700) fitted the bill as I've already owned the S3000 and had great results. On first contact I found the camera to be smaller than I expected which isn't a bad thing. There are many options on this camera and theres plenty to play with. Because I have been using a Canon A430 point and click camera for such a long time now I've gotten used tot he fact it takes great(and sometimes fantastic) shots. The Fuji disappointed me at first because there are so many settings. I could't seem to get the quality shots I was getting from the Canon which is 4 mp as opposed to the Fuji's 7.1mp. After messing with the settings I'm beginning to understand how it works and how i can get what I want.

One thing I dont like about the Camera is the red eye correction setting. I took many pictures using this setting yet there still seems to be a lot of red eye on the images. I will have to correct this with a dedicated software package at a later date; something I really dont have time for. I do however, like the zoom option. Although the image on the viewfinder (the lcd screen) appears very blocky the closer you zoom the actual image taken comes out as you would expect and clear considering how far it does zoom.

Overall as with the rest of my cameras, I will learn about it and enjoy it. I do believe this is a good if not great camera.

  Fantastic Fuji Finepix!
Review created: 10/04/08
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

The large 2.5" LCD screen, 10X optical zoom, ease of use and 7.1 MP resolution combine to make this neat product a very worthy camera.

I got this as I had sold my film SLR camera, and wanted to enter dig. photography. I could see few disadvantages when comparing the S5700 "bridge" camera with a more expensive DSLR. The main disadvantage seems to be lesser aperture size, as the lens is optically inferior to a typical SLR lens. I can live with this, as this camera has many excellent features, and I bought it at actionj for £90! Compare this to at least £300 for a DSLR.

If you fancy stepping up from a compact, you could do much worse than this model.

  A TRULY EXCELLENT CAMERA!
Review created: 15/03/08
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

I bought this camera just last week and so far i'm just loving everything about it. Its sort of halfway between an ordinary digi camera and an SLR. Lots of spec to it. Nice to hold. Not a very good onboard memory but hey memory cards are so cheap nowadays it's not really a problem. Got a 2GB card so plenty of room on there. Treat yourself to a pretty cheap case here on E-Bay, there's plenty to go at! I'm awaiting one myself. Look out for the silver metallic camera instead of the normal dull (in my opinion) black finish, that's what i bought...really astounding colour it is! Picture quality with this camera is spot on. This mega pixel 'thing' has got silly now, 7.1 on the S5700 is more than adequate. You can pick this camera up on the internet right now for just over £100 and that includes free delivery...check it out! To sum up, the S5700 is a truly excellent camera...go out and buy one now...you won't regret it!

I brought this camera because i have the older version of it and wanted to upgrade. This camera is alot smaller and has better functions that the earlier models. It is a shame you cannot change the lens but the one on it is just fine for everyday photos. It is excellent value for the price. It is a very tidy little camera and very light. I am very pleased with it. Would highly recommend it.

A quality camera. Would highly recommend to beginners and pro's alike. It can be as easy or as complicated as you want to make it with a choice of pre-set "auto" mode or self-selections and preferences. Excellent zoom capabilities and brilliant picture quality. An excellent camera for the money and a better camera, I expect, than many of the more expensive cameras out there. I am very happy with the purchase and would give it 9 1/2 out of 10.

The quality of picture is amazing, especially at night. With the ability to set the exposure to 4 seconds you can take perfect quality pictures at night without any flash. Best camera i've ever used, not that ive used many but for the price you cannot fault this camera. Even the quick shot quick motion setting is fantastic, no blur on movement at all. Purchased this for our holiday this year for good quality high res pictures and i have no doubt at all it will capture everything perfect.

  A lovely little camera

I only recieved this camera today, and I am already most impressed, having played with it all day. At first I thought it a little difficult to hold, but then, no! this is how I want a camera to feel.I can hold it fairly steady in one hand. The zoom (10x) is great until you start to reach its limit, then you do loose out on the focus, but up to around 7x to 8x its fine. (digital zoom, I have not tried yet). The Macro feature will give you wonderful images of coins, stamps, insects etc. The only thing on the down side is that on auto flash, you tend to have your left hand fingers on the flash cover when it pops open, so learn to keep your index finger to the side, and your thumb on the underside and you will keep it very steady indeed. The LCD screen is clear and bright. For its price & features I will give it ten out of ten.

  ECCELLENTE RAPPORTO QUALITà/PREZZO
Review created: 01/02/08
by:

Buon prodotto.

All'aperto nessun problema.

  Great value tidy little camera
Review created: 24/01/08

Just recieved the s5700 and so far I am impressed. Shots were clear and sharp with great detail from the 7 Mega pixel Sensor and numerous shooting functions including manual controls. Functions are simple to use and the manual easy to follow. Only bad points are a lot of noise in low light situations (more than my other three point and shoot cameras) and no real image stabalisation which can be a pain when using the long end of the lens and Purple Fringing of high contrast areas.
To sum up - Fantastic value, nice package, uses SD cards and AA batteries, great movie function, poor noise quality at high ISO and some purple fringing (most Fuji cameras seem to have this for some reason)and no real image stabalisation. The best camera for this price in my view. Hope this has helped.

  FinePix 25700 Digital SLR Camera
Review created: 23/01/08
by:
2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

I am really pleased with this camera. I think that the best thing that I benefit from it is the super macro of up to 1cm away from the subject, and as I enjoy macro photography this is really helpful. I was slightly disappointed that the lens isn't interchangable, but the zoom that it comes with (10x) is really good anyway, probably enough for me!

I think that the only thing that is perhaps not as good as extreme digital SLR cameras for professionals (not that this isn't!) is that there isn't a manual focus, and sometimes, especially with macro photography, it is easier to have manual focus if the camera just won't focus on the subject, but in this case I just focus on something else that is bigger, at the same ditance away, and it usually focuses easily on that and then it keeps focus on the original subject.

Overall I would give it perhaps 4.9/5 (0.1 being the no manual focus, but that doesn't stop me taking any pictures so not too serious!), and I would recommend it!

The Free iPhone Guide

To get yourself a free iPhone all you have to do is follow the 3 easy steps:

Step 1 : Sign up for a free iPhone
Sign up at the link below to get your free iPhone. We recommend this free iPhone site because it's been TRIED and TESTED to work.

http://kudosnetwork.co.uk/?ref=174 (copy and paste into browser)

Remember that they have been proven legitimate, so will send you your free iPhone if you do everything legitimately!

Step 2 : Try an advertiser's offer
Basically all you need to do in this step is complete one of the offers, this is where the freebie site make their money, if you complete an offer then the freebie site will recieve commission for it. So if you complete Coral which will only cost you £5 to complete, the freebie site gets £25 from Coral. The two best offers are Lovefilm Free DVD rental (rent two DVD's, keep them for about 2 days, send them back and then cancel the trial) and Coral (bet £5 on a sport). I would reccommend you do Coral as it credits in an hour and is really simple to do, Lovefilm however can become complicated and takes up to 2 weeks to credit! You can also try one of the other offers, most are gambling offers. Don't skip this step! You must complete this step to get your free iPhone!

Step 3 : Refer some friends
This part is a lot easier than it seems, especially now with free iPhone sites getting so popular. There's lots of people online who want a free iPhone too, so start referring them! You only need to get a few signups before you'll be finished. You can ask your friends or your online buddies. I already got a free PS3, Wii, and XBOX Elite without even having to ask my friends for help - there's lots of people online who want a free iPhone like you! One of the easiest ways to get a referral is to do a favour for a friend and ask them to sign up in return. That way, you both can get a free iPhone!

Basic rules
Don't break these rules! This is the only reason that you won't get your free iPhone, so make sure you follow these rules!

- One account per household - don't use a public computer to sign up!
- Use real information - this is a proven legitimate site and they will not give out your information.
- Only complete each offer once! You cannot complete the same offer again, even for different freebies.
- Don't try to cheat the system. This site has been proven legitimate, and they will catch you if you try to cheat. If you do everything legitimately, by following this guide, you will get a free iPhone!

Thats all, just follow my guide and you will have your free iPhone in no time.

Thank you.
