This is a great camera for the money, the body of the camera paired with its lens makes for some brilliant, clear shots.

Once you have the hang of all the settings this camera has to offer, it is very easy to use, i would even compare it to some DSLR cameras.

i have found battery life to be good with re-chargeable batterys, lasting upto 8 hours shooting time!

Apart from the useless first seller I tried to buy one of these from meaning I ended up with 2 of them I am really pleased I got one. I say this in case someone reads this and sees me selling one and wondering why I love the camera but am selling it.

I bought it as I had an S5000 a few years ago and although the picture quality wasn't up to the Olympus equivalent, it was very fast. I reckoned the S5600 with 2 more Mega pixels more than the S5000 would have overcome this and I would say it has.

The main benefit is the large 10 times zoom lens but at first look, with the lens not retracting when switched off, it seems more bulky to carry than other similar cameras. However, it still fits on the same case I used for the S5000 but more importantly it makes it even faster than the S5000 was.

Some write ups can be a little critical of the colours or fringing compared to other cameras but I think that overall, the pictures are perfectly acceptabe but that isn't the point. With most cameras I've had or tried other than a digital SLR camera, in the real world, by the time you've seen what you want to photograph, got it out of the case, switched it on, lense has come out etc etc etc etc, the moment has gone and you have no photograph or when you press the shutter, there is a delay meaning you you only get half of it.

The S5600 is brilliant for this. If I switch it on, then take the lens cap off. By the time I have got it to my face it's ready to go. It also takes the shot when I press the shutter, not a second or so later.

I wanted it as I had been invited to the Goodwood Revival car race meeting hoping to get some good shots. It did not dissapoint. I was about 20 feet from the track, taking zoom pictures of cars going past at over 100 mph. Approx 30% of shots were sharp, well balanced with the car filling the frame and using a fast shutter setting (still an auto setting) with no shake. Bearing in mind I am not a great photographer I think that this is brilliant ratio and most of the missed shots were down to me not the camera.

Overall, to sum up, this is a great camera for the average pick up and clicker that wants to take excellent shots in the real world where things move and the moment is quickly lost. There are cameras that are slightly better at this, that or the other but they won't get the picture at all because the bird has flown away of the car gone past.

If you are better than a pickup and clicker, don't let that put you off, it does have all the manual/semi manual options as well but I have always found the camera is better than me at sorting focus and exposures so I use the various automatic options.

This is a great camera and if I could think of a goog reason to keep both of them I would. I cannot even keep it as a spare as by all indications they seem pretty reliable too.

They seem to go for under £100 too making them absolutely brilliant value for money.

I hope you find this useful
Mike

This is my firdt camera, as an OAP i am in a world of the digital inigma and trying to work out how it all functions and at my age that can be quite a challange and to make things even more difficult the instructions that came with it are in a language that is foreign, so it may be quite some time yet before I am able to get to work out what all the settings & how the menu's operate so until I become familiar with the camera thats of course if I become familar wit it I am not in a position to give this camera an honest rating that perhaps it realy deserves, But I can say that the few pictures that have come out so far are very good, I think it could be fair to say im sure things can only improvein time. Please ignore the rating as the page would not submit until a rating was given.

  Fuji FinePix S5600 Digital Camera
Review created: 07/09/08

This is a wonderfully simple camera to use. My main reason for purchasing it is to take advantage of the zoom facility on it.
I have other Fuji FinePix cameras, but the zoom facility on them is not as good as on the S5600.
With a 2GB XD card I am able to take nearly 3200 photographs (size 1600x1200).
All in all this is an excellent camera, both for the professional photographer, and the 'weekend snapper'.

Review created: 27/08/08

I chose a finepix camera as I already had a pocket (A403) but I wanted something with a lot more zoom, and something to take action shots, I got both in this camera with it's variable shutter speed and 10x Optical Zoom and 5.7x Digital Zoom. I can honestly say that I made the right choice in buying this camera and would recommend to anyone who wants to take up digital photography.

I have found this camera easy to use, it's fairly lightweight and relativity inexpencive considering what an excellent camera it is.

In conclusion I'm happy with this camera it does everything I want a camera to do.

The reason I decided to get the fuji s5600 was mainly because my wife already has one and I was facinated with the quality and depth of picture. Being a novice photographer I needed something that would not need a science degree to operate, the S5600 fits the bill exactly. If I had to recommend a camera to a friend then, I would not hesitate to recommend the S5600 from Fuji. It may be "old hat" in the ever changing world of camers but, I still think it is very good value for money wether it's a new one or second hand like mine and thanks to ebay I saved a bunch of cash getting a very good and well looked after camera.

  Shopping for the Wife

The reason I bought my last seven items was pure selfish on my part. Buying the items meant I did not have to go trailing rounds shops with the wife looking for these items. She is the type of shopper who visits every store then goes back to the first store.

  Super little camera.
Review created: 29/04/08

Fuji finepix S5600. What a super little camera. Take it from a now retired pro, this is a little beauty. I bought it for my wife some months ago and not only is she pleased with the ease in which it can be used, but also very impressed with picture quality. As am I. I own the Finepix S9600, and I can tell you, I prefer using the 5600. I previously owned a top of the range Sony with a Zeiss lens. I have to be honest, there is no comparison. The quality of the Fuji lens is absolutely tops. When you consider that most studio T.V. cameras use either Fujinon or Canon lenses, that surely must speak volumes about Fuji. To sum up therefore, if you can obtain an S5600, go for it. It will not disappoint. I believe I paid around £80 for my wifes camera and it was in absolutely mint condition. Complete with leather case. Good hunting.

These S5600 Digital cameras have a stunning performance. I also have a S9600 but I think the performance of the smaller S5600 is exceptional even using the 50x optical/digital zoon, very impressive but need to hold it steady. A great point and shoot on automatic but with incedible versatillity for the enthusiast

  One missing from the collection
Review created: 07/04/08

I am a keen photographer and and especially like Bridge cameras of which the S5600 is one. I already own the Fuji S9600, S6500, S5700, S8000 - this S5600 came up a reasonable price so I bought it. Sadly Bridge cameras - the link between digital and SLR - have not caught on - but looking ahead thet may well be sought after collectors pices one day!

  Fuji FinePix S5600 Digital Camera
Review created: 10/03/08

This is my first digital camera that is similar to my old 35mm SLR cameras but is lighter and more versatile. I am really looking forward to taking a lot of pictures with it. So far I have only taken a few pictures of my old camera equipment destined to be auctioned on e-bay soon. It was so easy to produce excellent hand held shots it was easier than my simple digital camera.
I liked the Fujifilm picture and equipment quality of my first digital camera very much, which was a very basic 2.1m but the pictures were superb. Hence my reason for buying another Fujifilm. I have not been dissapointed.

An excellent camera, that resembles a small SLR. I cannot praise it enough, as it produces photos of brilliant clarity and 'depth'. The well-known Fuji Finepix 'F' setting allows the user to choose easily between standard, chrome or black-and-white images. The s5600 also allows a more experienced photographer to play around with manual settings.

I also use this camera with a screw-on Olympus T-Con 1.7 lens, and the results can be truly amazing for a camera of its size. Overall, highly recommended.

what i like about buying from ebay is simple, afordable quality items.
this digital camera is one that is a must in my field of art and crafts, todate it as taken 2.000 images of top quality that are needed to show clients my work, it is simple to use and the seller was so helpfull and gave me a comprensive introduction to its use. You dont get that service in most shops!
ebay is like one family you can rely on for quality goods, the camera was well priced and will remain with me allways.

The Free iPhone Guide

To get yourself a free iPhone all you have to do is follow the 3 easy steps:

Step 1 : Sign up for a free iPhone
Sign up at the link below to get your free iPhone. We recommend this free iPhone site because it's been TRIED and TESTED to work.

http://kudosnetwork.co.uk/?ref=174 (copy and paste into browser)

You can choose other prizes like free consoles from this site too! Make sure you use a real email address. Use your real details when you sign up so that the company knows where to send your iPhone! Remember that they have been proven legitimate, so will send you your free iPhone if you do everything legitimately!

Step 2 : Try an advertiser's offer
Basically all you need to do in this step is complete one of the offers, this is where the freebie site make their money, if you complete an offer then the freebie site will recieve commission for it. So if you complete Coral which will only cost you £5 to complete, the freebie site gets £25 from Coral. The two best offers are Lovefilm Free DVD rental (rent two DVD's, keep them for about 2 days, send them back and then cancel the trial) and Coral (bet £5 on a sport). I would reccommend you do Coral as it credits in an hour and is really simple to do, Lovefilm however can become complicated and takes up to 2 weeks to credit! You can also try one of the other offers, most are gambling offers. Don't skip this step! You must complete this step to get your free iPhone!

Step 3 : Refer some friends
This part is a lot easier than it seems, especially now with free iPhone sites getting so popular. There's lots of people online who want a free iPhone too, so start referring them! You only need to get a few signups before you'll be finished. You can ask your friends or your online buddies. I already got a free PS3, Wii, and XBOX Elite without even having to ask my friends for help - there's lots of people online who want a free iPhone like you! One of the easiest ways to get a referral is to do a favour for a friend and ask them to sign up in return. That way, you both can get a free iPhone!

Basic rules
Don't break these rules! This is the only reason that you won't get your free iPhone, so make sure you follow these rules!

- One account per household - don't use a public computer to sign up!
- Use real information - this is a proven legitimate site and they will not give out your information.
- Only complete each offer once! You cannot complete the same offer again, even for different freebies.
- Don't try to cheat the system. This site has been proven legitimate, and they will catch you if you try to cheat. If you do everything legitimately, by following this guide, you will get a free iPhone!

Thats all, just follow my guide and you will have your free iPhone in no time.

Thank you.
