Camera is fine, good quality but... what did U mind " a lot of extras"????
second mind - what about charger??? this model coming with them! isn't it??????

I BOUGHT THE S5000 NEARLY 4 YEARS AGO (2004) WHEN THEY FIRST CAME OUT. I BOUGHT IT FROM WWW.EBAY.COM(USA) FOR £250INC P&P, £100 CHEAPER THAN OVER HERE IN RIP OFF BRITAIN. I USE AUTO ALL THE TIME & IT HAS PRODUCED SOME GREAT PHOTOS FOR ME & IS SO EASY TO SET UP & USE. EVEN MY LADY CAN UNDERSTAND HOW TO USE IT?

I ALSO BOUGHT AS WELL, A WIDE-ANGLE LENS & A TELE-PHOTO LENS ALSO FROM THE STATES FOR ABOUT £50, WHICH ARE IDEAL FOR GREAT OUTDOOR / NATURE SHOTS ETC.

The Fuji Finepix S5000 is a great camera if you are looking for a camera that is somewhere between a compact and a full blown SLR.

There are enough features to satisfy any keen photographer, you can manually adjust the shutter speed and aperture or just keep it on auto and let the camera do the work. You can alter the quality of the image, and you can crop on camera etc. The quality of the pictures is very good, allowing great prints to be made up to A4 size. (This is as big as I have gone)

If you can pick up one of these cameras for around the £50 mark then you have got yourself a camera that looks good, feels good to hold and takes great pictures. If you can't afford the expense of a digital SLR and want to have some control over how you take your pictures then this camera is worth considering.

I brought this camera after being taken for a plum by another ebayer, and i have to say its the best camera i have ever brought. The picture quality is excellent its very easy to use. If there was more trust worthly ebayers like the one i got the camera off then ebay would be a pleasure to deal with, shame there isnt that many around any more.

This camera is a great buy with easy to use features piont and shoot 22x zoom
crystle clear lens plug and play mini usb its a 3.1mega pixel run through a super CCD and its rated pixel have been counted at over 6mega pixel you can print posters still with good quialty a fantastic buy with great potential to take fantastic shots it also records video with sound not bad quiality its a good camera to practice on before you buy a digital SLR it has the same kind of camera body with some of the same features you do get some iso functions as well as burst mode for action shots aswell as macro for close ups all in all a great camera the only negative point i can review is the screen size on the back but at least its crystal clear but a little small by gmay2005

After having major open heart surjury .My doctor told me to take up a hobby that did not involve any risk.So i used to photo many of the dangerous sports i took part in,using my 35m old camera.Now at my age i have taken to digital.So that ment a camera that was easy to use,the Fuji S5000 seamed to be the one for me.The Fuji i have bought is marvelos,with in an hour i had got sorted,its that good my wife is using it.It nearly work's it's self...very pleased.PAUL...

The Fuji FinePix S5000 Digital Camera takes perfect photo's in all conditions.
But beware, after about 12 months, (about the time the warranty runs out)the internal battery (memory battery) fails, when i phoned "Fuji UK", even before i had finished explaining the problem, they told me they would give me £50 for it or £100 to fix it, i had paid about £300 for it at the time (about 4½ years ago, i think maybe they had had some complaints before me.
When the internal battery does fail, every time you change the AA batteries, you have to reset the date, time and any other settings you have made.
I looked on the web and found lots of complaints on the different forums about the same problems.
In the ratings i have put excellent, because the camera does take good photo's, BUT.

I havwe been on the outlook for another camera for a while, I have looked at many and caught up on reviews for each camera i had choosen. The reason I decided to go for the Fuji was down to the great spec and the average price they where going for.
Now I have used the camera I can understand why the have great reviews, The build quality is perfect for me and they are very easy to use, and the pictures are better than I expected. There are many features that I have not used yet and am looking forward to trying these out.
I can and will recommend to anyone looking for a camera, you wont go far wrong with one of these.

I decided to buy the S5000 as it had very good reports as a first digital camera. I was amazed at the versatility of this camera, Quality cine, Amazing close-ups. high speed series pics, and as ther King of Siam said Etc Etc.
I found this camera to be amazing in every respect. I am a retired photographer of sme 45 years experience and this camera does all that I could do with my most sophisticated film cameras. Try it and good luck111

The digital revolution means that point and shoot photography is very easy. Once you have mastered this kind of camera the S5000 allows you to begin to experiment with photography. It is the equivalent of an SLR camera and as a reflex it uses the lense as the view finder. The extrordinary zoom capability of even this relatively outdated camera produces great tones and there are adjustments which can be made to produce even better. The camera can take multiple shots in series or over exposed normal and underexposed in difficult light. I bought it to take my time and produce better photographs if I mess up I can always go back to Auto Mode but gradually I am learning just what real photography is!

The camera is in excellent condition and came with a memory card already with it! I am very happy with my purchase!

This camera lived up to all expectations,Stunning photographs and easy to use.Also nice to handle with no unexpected problems.We required a camera that was easy to store in the car at all times and not fiddly to start.The zoom is very good and re-charge able batteries to boot.I would recommend it to any one that requres a camera that any non profesional can use at any time.

I recently uprated my digital camera's to Fuji e550 compact digi and discovered what a great camera but still yearned after my old SLR with all of its controls. So I bid on and bought this Fuji Finepix S5000 which looks and feels like an SLR but without the hassle of having to plus or minus each exposure and then waiting for the film to be developed.Loads of control and a massive 250 pictures on 1 SD card and a super zoom lens with hood fitted as standard at this time a real bargain

We bought this camera as a starting point for my missus who loves to take photos.
This is an easy camera to get to grips with as all the controls are very concise and easy to use in small hands the weight is not a problem either as it is a very light camera the shots themselves are very good quality the only drawback I can see is that it is designed for someone with small hands and it feels to light compared to my Fuji S1 and S2 but overall a very capable camera if you are wanting something a little more hands on than a compact but not as complicated as a DSLR well done fuji you have done it again

works well i have a fuji s6000 as well and this one is almost as good but smaller so it is easey to carry around.
works well on landscapes better than most as it is not a chromatic abberation bucket it likes trees.
not as good in doors a bit noisey that is were the s6000 comes in hopeing to get the s5500 as well later as i like fuji cameras there ok and well priced and as good as the sony and canon anyday just look at the pictures on the web an see.
the canon s5 is utter rubish and the sony h9 is a disaster you would expect better but the fuji s5000s knock the pants off there butts any day,they may be old who cares it works,check reviews on the net and see for your self.

this camera is simple to use and yet has optics that could be expected in a camera 4 times its cost - now superseded it remains a top quality camera for the keen amateur - who has no real grasp of the finer points of technical photography - robust construction and an active fuji after sales service make it a safe and inexpensive option on the second hand ebay market.

Loads of features and settings, easy to use once you have read the instructions, and for 3.1mp the image quality is fantastic. The manual focus option is great for macro close-ups. Would recommend.

A very handy and versatile camera, practical size and good quality finish.
Suitable for the beginner and the advanced photographer supplied with a good spec. of options.
It would have been handy to have an anti shake option as you will need a tripot in poor weather conditions but the variety of ISO setting can help, except an additional ISO 100 would even better.
Overall a super camera for the money I spent on it.
The reason I used ebay to purchase this product, it was the only effordable chance to buy ,a normally price camera , for less money, dispite being an older model.
But old does not mean bad and I am very happy with it !
