Popular American sitcom FRIENDS first appeared on our screens back in 1994 to little fanfare. The show followed the lives of six twentysomething singles--Monica (Courtney Cox), Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow), Joey (Matt LeBlanc), Ross (David Schwimmer), and Chandler (Matthew Perry)--who occupied a trendy New York loft apartment. These were essentially six beautiful people who had probably never known a hard day's work in their lives, and whose every utterance was a well-crafted witticism. But despite their idealised lifestyles and perfectly coiffed hairdos, there was something annoyingly endearing about them. Viewers could easily relate to their struggles with work, sex, and relationships because these were universal struggles - albeit heightened for comedic effect. From early on it was clear that FRIENDS had successfully tapped into the zeitgeist of its time, and now, 10 series down the line, the show's broad appeal continues to live on in popular culture. This box set contains every episode from series 1 through 10.

IF YOU ARE BUYING THE 10 SEASONS OF FRIENDS AS A COMBINED BOX SET, THEN BE VERY CAREFUL.

EBAY IS FLOODED WITH ILLEGAL, POOR QUALITY COPIES AT THE MOMENT WHICH ARE FACTORY PRODUCED IN ASIA.

THEY MASS PRODUCE BOX SETS OF ALL POPULAR TV SERIES, AND SELL THEM CHEAPLY OVER HERE.

THE QUALITY IS POOR - I HAVE SEEN THEM. THEY ARE AN ABSOLUTE FALSE ECONOMY.

NOT ONLY ARE THESE BLURRY AND WITH POOR SOUND, THEY ARE ILLEGAL.

MANY INTERNATIONAL GANGS ARE MAKING MORE MONEY FROM THIS SORT OF THING THAN DRUG TRAFFICKING NOWADAYS, SO THINK ABOUT WHERE YOUR MONEY IS REALLY GOING.

LOOK PAST THE EXCUSE THAT THEY ARE JUST CHEAP DVDS, AND IT'S ONLY OUR GOVERNMENT THAT IS MISSING OUT ON TAXES THAT IS THE PROBLEM.

I haven't actually bought this item and there is an unpaid dispute with the seller. I'll review my ebay experience instead. I didn't pay him, because he didn't have a paypal account, which was his preferred method. He sent an email asking me to pay his "brother" instead. His ebay account keeps getting suspended. You cannot read his bad feedback (which is plenty). Now I could get a bad mark against my name as a non payer. Would you part with £60 in my situation?

Thing is, ebay is faceless. It's great when things go right. Which is most of the time. But when they go wrong, there is noone to speak with. A whole confusing heap of forms and links, which are responded with an automatic message and never followed up. Then they ask me to review the item that I haven't received because it is in dispute. Anyway, if you do buy this DVD, get it from someone else other than online_saverz.
