I decided to buy it as we go to Turkey every year and I like to be able to "communicate" with the Turkish people as we move about quite a lot. I already had one, but the keys and text were small, and it did not have a lot of the words that I was using.
This one, for me is just great. I am not likely to use many of the phrases, in a hurry there would not be time to look them up! With this one, I can type in any word that I want, and it comes up with the word, and puts it into several phrases that you would be likely to be using around it.I can see that I will be using it a lot on my next trip

this product is a really useful item for travellers. i desided to buy this item as my daughters in laws are turkish and i want to be able to comunicate through txt it may be broken turkish but hey it works.

This product is ok, rather disapointed at the amount of useful words that it actually has, it does not recognise a lot of things and has many words/phrases on that i cannot see people needing in a hurry. Not something i would buy again.

Useful travelling translator.Simple and easy to use. Have used it in four different countries so far and found that people understand what I am saying.
Instructions a little vauge but with common sense you can muddle through.If you are also looking for a translator then consider this one as the price is good and it has many functions, the currency exchange setting is useful too.
The vocabulary is pretty basic. It boasts of 400,000 translations, but, the vocab for each language is limited to stuff you would use on holiday which I needed for. Any concept which is of non-immediate practical use is not likely to be in the dictionary as I've found out. Therefore this cannot replace a proper dictionary ofcourse.
Another omission is that, for example, German, it doesn't tell you the gender of nouns so it can't help you with grammar. This is a big omission as anyone learning German will know, you need to know whether nouns are der, die or das.
Lastly other than that, it's ok for a basic tool to compliment a proper dictionary, or replace it just for simple every-day situations during your travels.
