A nice Mel Gibson double pack, each film has a romantic theme, though Tequila Sunrise is a ‘edgier’
Plot summary:
Movie 1: Forever Young
A 1939 Army test pilot asks his best friend to use him as a guinea pig for a cryogenics experiment.
Daniel McCormick (Mel Gibson) wants to be frozen for a year so that he doesn't have to watch his love lying in a coma.
The next thing Daniel knows is that he's been awoken in 1992

Dale McKussic (Mel Gibson) is an ex drug dealer who is trying to go legitimate, his best friend Nick Frescia (Kurt Russell) is a policeman assigned to investigate him.
Carlos (Raul Julia) is Dale’s friend and his Mexican dealer connection.
The cops think Carlos is coming to town to do a ‘big deal’
Nick notices that Dale is attracted to Jo Ann (Michelle Pfeiffer), he tries to use Jo Ann to get close to Dale in order to identify Carlos.
Can Dale and nick’s friendship survive?
