Footloose (DVD 2002)

I really enjoyed this film as i'm into films with music in them, i watched it when i was younger have wanted the film for a while hence i thought it was time to buy.

This is a great easy film to watch, good dancing and a super soundtrack. It's a real Friday Night girly film.

footloose, staring kevin bacon ,a brilliant movie , a good story line basted in americas youth teenage adullessance and rebelian, brilliant music and dance ,must see.

great film, just as I remember it. Kids enjoyed it as well. All round good family film. Better viewed on DVD. Brilliant soundtrack accompanies the film.

Pretty average movie starring a young Kevin Bacon. The songs are catchy but the storyline is poor.
The local Reverend of a small town decides to ban rock'n roll so the kids(actors in their 30s) decide to fight back by using typical 80s dance moves to shake things up.Needless to say that the Reverends opinion soon changes and begins to realise that rock'n roll isn't all bad.Cue more dancing.Like i said - pretty lame.
Don't get me wrong, if 80s teen movies do it for you - you'll love it, it just wasn't my cup of tea.
Look out for some big names though, John Lithgow(3rd Rock from the Sun), Sarah Jessica Parker and the late Chris Penn all star.

Its a Great Movie for all,losts of dancing,and good fun,.I bought it for my Grand daughter who absolutely loves it.

Fantastic copy of a great film, I am very pleased with this purchase. I had been after the film for quite a while and most places i went to were quite pricy, I eventually decided to have a look on ebay and was delighted when i found one at a great price. The disk is in as new condition and so the film was great quality, A must see for any music lover, dancer or someone just wanting to see a great film. Kevin Bacon was fantastic and explosive with a passion for music and dancing with a point to prove. It is the way he puts his point across that made me want to own the film, he faught fire with fire.
A great film, a great buy.

I really loved this film when I first saw it on tv years ago and it doesn't matter how many times I watch it, I just want to watch it again. The music in it is great and makes you wanna get up and dance

I love this film because it seems to cross generations. I thought it had great music when I first saw it way back when, and my children recently saw it on TV hence my recent purchase. It still shows the struggle of teens trying to find their place within a society that seems intolerant at best to their needs and aspirations. This tells the story of a young man whose interest in music and dance goes completely against the grain in the religious town that he has been forced to move to. However, with perserverance and a willingness to learn ,obstacles are torn down. A great feel good movie for all ages, not just those of us who saw it first time around.

Classic tale of teenage repression and their ultimate rebellion against it.

When 'Ren' (Kevin Bacon) and his family move from Chicago to a small town, he's in for a real culture shock.

The family have moved to a town where rock and roll music - and dancing - are illegal!

Ren's influence on his new classmates becomes apparent when, together with the help of Chris Penn (Sean's younger brother) and Lori Singer (the love interest) they set out to organise their OWN senior prom.

It has a great soundtrack which of course includes the title track 'Footloose', and also 'Let's Hear It for the Boy', & 'Holding Out for a Hero' amongst others.

This film is a real family favourite.

I have been after this film on dvd for a long time i have already got it on video. But this dvd is just what i was looking for many thanks to the seller.

I have 2 daughters aged 10 & 13 who I recently took to see the stage production which they really enjoyed. When I told them it had been a favourite film of mine as a teenager they were desperate to see it.
The film has dated quite a bit but it is still enjoyable and it was great to be able to get it on DVD. ( I don't even think videos were commonplace when it first came out!!)

i decided to buy footloose because it was one off the films that i use to love to watch when i was growing up. its got good music and dancing init. plus its got kevin bacon in it

I saw this film as a child and remembered all the great songs that were in it.
I managed to find it on Ebay years later and it was still, if not better, than I remember.
My feet were constantly tapping away to the music and I hate to admit that I even sang along to the words!!!!!!!!
My children loved this movie as well and is a great movie for all the family.

Definately a A************************ film

what a fantastic film i loved it as a teenager and the sad thing is i still remember most of the words even though i havent watched it in over 20 years i would recommend the film to everyone

I like Keven Bacon as an actor so when I saw this for sale knew I had to have it, the dance sequence is amazing, all the kids seem to be having a ball. The story line is a bit iffy but all in all a nice family film

This item was purchased for my daughter who loves anything to do with dance,We find ebay a great way to purchase items not easily found on the high street. This film is great entertainment for the whole family

A good family film, with a great soundtrack and good set of actors, an interesting film as well, with various policies brought up. I bought it for my wife who likes music as well as films and she had not seen it.

I bought this DVD for my wife who grew up watching the movie in the 1908s. She had not seen it for years so I decided to buy this as a suprise and she was not dissapointed.

The movie plot itself invloves a fresh looking Kevin Bacon toe tapping his way around an all-American "church going" town (Bomont) where the kids rebel against the adults and the church to organise a dance. Its essentially a cheesy 80s classic, but if you like Dirty Dancing or Grease you will love this.

The DVD itsself isnt up to top quality standards and doesnt look like it has been digitally remaster for a DVD release - but its not bad.

As I said, my wife loved it, and even though I had to watch it with her, I thought it wasnt bad either.

I think this film is brilliant. If you love dancing and 80s music and especially Kevin Bacon then this is the film for you. It is about a boy called Ren McCormick who has moved from the city to a Midwestern town where music, dancing and all youthful joy has been banned. He trys to prove to his town that music can bring out the good in people not the bad.
This is a great film and for people like me who love any dance films and films like Dirty Dancing they will love this.
