The DVD was a Christmas Pressie.
It is set in London and follows the unpredictable events leadings upto a massive tidal wave surging up the Thames flooding central London.
The story starts at the Thames Barrier where the Engineer (Robert Carlyle) and his Ex work. The weather in Scotland (Wick and Arbroth) has caused concern in London but no one raises the barrier.... Meanwhile his estranged Father realises that the Met office have missed a key bit of information. That the High Tide plus the rainfall from the storm would generate to much volume of water for the Thames Barrier to cope....
Too late to stop nature the storm hits and with some excellent stunts and Digital editing first East London, Canary Wharf and the City come under water. Meanwhile the story continues from the Barrier to the Underground which have not been evacuated... The plot has a few twists and turns, pervesely to save London they have to convince the Prime Minister's deputy (David Suchet) to sanction the opening of all the sleuse gates along the Thames to counter the surge and synchronise this with re opening the barrier at Woolwich to "flush" the flood out.
Good story set in London (unlike most disaster movies set in the US) this film is worth a watch.
