This has to be one of my favourite films of all time. It is simply beautiful. I adore it.

The characters are amazing, the voices superb and the storyline are immence.

Out of all the cartoon films around this is far and away the best of the lot. I loved it !!!

Plot -
A tale which follows the comedic and eventful journeys of two fish, the fretful Malin and his young son Nemo, who are separated from each another in the Great Barrier Reef when Nemo is unexpectedly taken from his home, and thrust into a fish tank in a dentist's office overlooking Sydney Harbor. Buoyed by the companionship of a friendly but forgetful fish named Dory, the overly cautious Malin embarks on in a dangerous trek and finds himself the unlikely hero of an epic journey to rescue his son. Meanwhile the young Nemo hatches a few daring plans of his own to return home safely.

Finding Nemo On DVD - By William Zurawel

This DVD is so fun to watch! I actually think it is the first Pixar movie to have the traditional feel of a Disney movie. It combines the elements of classic Disney movies with the elements that made Pixar so successful (amazing computer animation, great writing.)
Finally, we have a kChildrens film in 2003 that grownups can enjoy with or without their kids. I liked Finding Nemo so much that I saw it twice, and it was just as enjoyable the second time around. Pixar really has the pulse of what works. They pick a great vocal cast, and employ the best writers. Some people think that computer animation will take over traditional animation as the leading moneymaking animation force. While computer animation looks cool, the reason they are a hit is the talent of the voices and the writing. Traditional animation could do just as well if they had that. Buy this for your children you’ll have a fishy good time!
Thanks
William

Another fantastic film from Disney/Pixar. Keep them coming.

My children got this on DVD last christmas and have watched it more than 100 times.

Dorie is definately the best fish in the whole film, and very very funny.

Finding Nemo will appeal to children of all ages, even if you think you are all grown up!

  Finding Nemo (DVD 2004)

Finding Nemo is one of the cleverest films that I've seen. It combines brilliant animation with a great story and terrific voices to present an experience that works on many different levels.

The film starts off in a depressing manner, depicting a barracuda finishing off the wife of a struggling clown fish and all but one of their 300 future children. The father, Marlin (Albert Brooks), treasures the lone surviving egg and raises it in a spoilt manner. The egg grows into a spunky young lad named Nemo (Alexander Gould). In his first day of school, as he is proving his courage, Nemo is fishnapped by a dentist/diver. Thus begins the premise of the film: Nemo's father goes from the Great Barrier Reef to Sydney to rescue Nemo who is trapped in an aquarium in the dentist's office and trying to get out.
The animation is excellent, and the voices, which is what make or break such a film, are incredible. The fish speaking was as natural as anything I've seen in the real world.

In the film, there's a fish, Dory (Ellen DeGeneres), who has a short-term memory problem. A premise like that might not seem to be worth much, but the filmmakers get a lot out of mileage out it, coming up with jokes in a creative manner. There are several other things that are hilarious, including the mellow sea turtles, the whale-speak episode, the fish-eating sea gulls, the sharks who've vowed to not eat fish, and the co-inhabitants of the aquarium in which Nemo finds himself in. There are a lot of lines in the film that'll stick in your head, particularly the ones uttered by Dory (though my favourite character was Crush (Andrew Stanton), the sea turtle).

The plot is set in a typical action-movie fashion, where both Marlin and Nemo end up in a series of adventures, including first reading the diver's snorkel mask to find out the address where Nemo is likely to be held, battling a horde of jellyfish and traversing the East Australian Current, and finally end up in Sydney Harbour.

It's hard to describe in words what a great film Finding Nemo is. I definitely recommend watching it

Being in the animation business myself i know a different side to animation films. I ususally look at the creativity and the technical side more than the story itself nowadays.
Finding Nemo for me is the best overall 3d computer animated film out currently. It technical side is amazing with all the water effects pushed to the limit. This movie is a masterpiece of art.
The story again is just great, keeping with Pixars well known quailty in producing films. Toy Story was great but the graphics are far better in this film.

This film is suited for all ages and i recommend it to be in everyones dvd collection as it will remain an all time classic.

The bonus features are great, and i like the behind the scenes extras as it shows people who don't know the animation business some of what was involved in creation this film, which is always interesting.

A great film, not to be missed

My little Boy loves it so much when he gets up in the morning I have to put it on.

If you haven't seen Finding Nemo yet you're in for a real treat.
Marlin (Albert Brooks), a clown fish who lacks a sense of humour, is left to bring up his disabled son Nemo alone, having tragically lost his wife, Corral.
Resolving never to lose Nemo, Marlin teaches him the dangers of the ocean in an over-bearing fashion, but in an attempt to be independent Nemo gets split up from his father.

Marlin's search for Nemo results in an encounter with Dory, (Ellen DeGeneres), a fish with no memory capacity who believes she can speak Whale.
She offers to help Marlin find his son, and their adventure leads them to Sydney, sharks on a fish-free diet, turtle dudes that surf, and many other hilarious moments.

Having sat through this film more than 30 times, with my 4 year old son, (this was his favourite film at one time), I can honestly say there is not a dull moment in the film, and the animation is absolutely mesmerising.

If you're thinking of buying this with young children in mind then have no fear, they'll love it!
(Just be ready to watch it with them again, and again and again....)

I wasnt expecting it to be so good, after all i read it was just about a bunch of fish in the sea with alot of digital animation. and it really didnt sound like anything special.. But i was SOOOO WRONG. the MOVIE IS AMAZING! its so hilarious Ellen Degenerous had my sides splitting playing the fish with the 5 second memory. she really was the highlight of the movie. All the charectors had individuality and the storyline was one of the best i have ever seen in a Disney movie. every moment has suspense, drama, emotion, halarity, its funny from beginning to end. Fantastic movie! you have to see it. I Bought the DVD with its special features which alone are worth having. even more laughs!!

You just can't help but love this film. What's not to like? Fantastic animation, a laugh a minute, interesting, entertaining, colourful, unusual, ironic and touching. This film is wonderful for children and adults alike. I don't have kids and I must have watched my copy of this DVD a hundred times! Ellen was definately perfect for the character of Dorey - and she has to be my favourite character.

Finding Nemo, an animated aquatic adventure through the Coral Sea in Australia. The title is the story, a bond between father and son is tested through multiple trials of absence and peril. Father sets out to find Nemo, whereas Nemo in a sense has begun an adventure of finding himself, a test of self-discovery for the young, greater-than-his-affliction clown fish. A great movie for the kids to enjoy with stunning animations, taking the audience through a journey of the deep blue. Fantastic!

Pixar has created another amazing animated adventure, this time heading underwater as two plucky fish, Marlin and Dory (voiced by Albert Brooks and Ellen DeGeneres), search high and low for Marlin's missing son, Nemo (Alexander Gould). In addition to the other much-loved ocean-dwelling characters in this box office recordbreaker, this widescreen version includes deleted scenes, a making-of documentary, "The Art of Nemo" featurette and more

I bought Finding Nemo as a laugh really. But I was very surprised how good it was. DVD is packed with great features like a virtual fish tank on your TV and Making of the Movie etc. Pixar movie done a stirling job and I found the computer animation spot on.

Finding Nemo is a fun loving story about life on the reef in Australia. That love and hope can pull us through in the worst of situations. We are taken on a journey of discovery under the sea and meet some amazing and funny characters. Finding Nemo is a funloving and very entertaining movie that suits any age. I do not have kids, but enjoyed it. If you like a good movie with plenty of excitement and laughs and the odd moment that makes you take a deep breath. This film is for you. Go on, treat your kids, or at least yourself,, Dudes .
