Review created: 14/08/09

FF7 advent children is a nice movie, especially in Full HD format.
Actually, i can only recommend it to fans of the Final Fantasy franchise.
Other people wouldn't have so much fun watching it.
My rating is 4 out of 5 (in which 5 is the highest score)

FF7AC follows the story from the brilliant 'Final Fantasy' Playstation one game, it follows the characters after the events of the game. The story is about a type of disease known as Jenova cells that are inside some children and people (such as Cloud (main guy) )these genes were used in Sephiroth the evil villian who was going to destroy the world in the game, now they are more clones like him out to raise havoc once again.. This film is AMAZING the graphics make it look alive and i was on the edge of my seat, all the characters are back togethor again just like in the game, however though it was brilliant in every way i would have liked some of the characters to speak more.. like Red Xlll (aka Nanaki - lion wolf) as he was my favorite character in the game id have liked to listen to his voice a little more. Thats another thing in this film all the characters get voices! Though clouds was in Kingdom Hearts (PS2 game)brilliant film even if your not a FF7 game fan the film explains everything, its well worth the watch!

A film to make a mark and impact future productions!
Review created: 13/04/07

When looking at action films based on realism, they all tend to follow set patterns and rules, you can normally pretty much guess how things are going to pan out over the course of watching the film. This film is not 'real', and you can never guess what is just around the corner. Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is one of the greatest films I've ever watched! This film is not based on reality, it involves insane stunts and some of the best CGI-created scenes that you are ever likely to see. Seen as the things you see aren't 'real', it gives the creators the freedom to do whatever they like. Alot of films have tried this, but I love this film because for once, the creators have took this freedom by the scruff of the neck and really used their imagination. The scenes are just stunning; there are so many things happening at once. The landscapes have been mastered, they look so real its unbelievable!
The basics have been brushed over with a fine tooth comb along with the expertly-hard parts. There has been so much care taken with the making of this film. This aspect will blow you away!
Right, the plot. Following on from one of the best video games ever, Final Fantasy VII, we pick up 2 years after the gang originally beat Sephiroth and saved the world from Meteor. Everybody's lives have changed significantly, some to the extent in which they have 'Geostigma', a diesease which few understand. The people believe it's the planets way of saying it's angry for what the people took away from it in FFVII (Mako energy). Cloud stays his distance from everybody, including Tifa, whom he lives with now as he has Geostigma too. Shinra, the evil organisation who sucked the Mako energy out of the planet, try to get the calamity called Jenova from the Northern Cave, the place of the final battle on FFVII, and are interrupted by Kadaje and his gang.
Kadaje's motive is to repeat a 'reunion', a gathering of all the people infected with the geostigma. Little do they know that the geostigma is actually because of Jenova cells. When he and his gang take advantage of the busy streets of Midgar, they steal the infected children and turn them into puppets of their control. While still trying to find Jenova; Kadaje's gang wreaks havoc and summons an illusive beast to rampage in Midgar. The gang all reunite for another final battle against the beast and ultimately, to support Cloud against Kadaje. Cloud gives chase to Kadaje, who morphs into Sephiroth once Jenova cells touch his skin! Fasten your belts for one amazing one-on-one battle between the two, you will have to buy this DVD to find out the result and just see why this is one battle scene that will take some beating.
This film is a certain milestone in the film industry. It is breath-taking and has been compiled to perfection. Also, the soundtrack side is just amazing too! This should be how all futuristic action films should be, there will not be another one in the same league of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children for a long, long time. It is perfect and worth a small investment!
