Being a fan of the first Final Destination, I was anxious to see this film. In many ways, I think the sequel outdoes the original in almost every aspect. The entire idea of mortals attempting to beat deaths design is very intriguing, and the director utilized this concept to its fullest. The opening crash scene is fantastic. With multiple camera angles, wonderfully paced dolly shots and flashy pyrotechnics, the pace for the rest of the movie is adequately set. From here the cast is put through some honestly horrific sequences, coupled with some surprisingly gruesome and creative deaths. The PVC pipe dispatch and the barbed-wire scene makes this film well worth watching. Recommended.

5/5

Can you cheat death twice ??

The crash scene at the beginning of this film is absolutely awsome, its actually quite scary to see the whole scene building.

Apart from the crash scene it still has the usual twists and turns of the first film.

Well worth a viewing !!!

What a movie. If you are a fan of the Final Destination Trilogy or never even heard of the films, then this is a must watch for any film fan. The film carries on the basic storyline of the first film, but the story here has different twists and turns that will have you on the edge of your seat for the majority of the film. In my opinion, FD2 is better than the first, so if you have only seen the first, then go out of your way to watch this one. Whether you purchase the DVD or just rent it from your local film hire shop, you will not be disappointed. A+++++

the film is brilliant, i decided to buy it because i had seen the first film and i was curious what would happen next. The best thing about final destination 2 is that different characters are used and all the killings are linked to the killings on the first film,i also think the second film has more gore and Suspence.

  Tense Fun
Review created: 12/05/06
2 of 4 people found this review helpful.

This isn't a pure horror film, as indicated by being awarded only a 15 certificate. If you simply want to be scared you should probably look elsewhere. There certainly are some gorey moments, but the Final Destination films work best with the tension they use to blatently string the audience along with bluff after bluff. There is real humour in all the red herrings, and fun in trying to spot the actual mechanisms at work (you have to be there), and even occasional jumps at the unexpected. It's not high art, but it's entertaining.

  Lame Conceptual Idea x 3
Review created: 09/03/06(updated 09/03/06)
2 of 5 people found this review helpful.

The Final Destination trio of films are born purely of a lame conceptual idea to repeat the same below standard formula time and time again. I envisage American audiences wasting their dollars at the box office to google at this circus slideshow of dismal demises but I shudder to think that more cynical audiences across the pond have helped spawn a further two brain-dead performances with their Euros and Pounds Sterling.

Hollywood rarely conjures up what true fans of the genre consider as a legitimate horror film, especially those who remember the innovative camera techniques and non CGI gore of the 70/80's genre masters. I will spare Final Destination (1st movie) a morsel of praise, it evaded the standard glitzy slasher flick format, awarding it with a grain of originality. This small merit is now dashed against the rocks of interminable repetitiveness. These films are a reminder of how shallow and spoon fed our society has become.

  Worst Film Ever
Review created: 21/07/08
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

This has got to be one of the worst films I have ever seen.

A second rate cast compared to the first film, and very predictable.

If you've seen the first one, which was good, leave it at that.

Yet another superb installment of these superbly inventive films

Maybe you could say that this is a little repetitive, but they can get away with this in the way they portray the story to the watcher.

A film not to be missed and one that will remain a personal favorite for a long time, value for money and a film you can admire for its beauty.

After the excellent first movie, this one seemed very samey and just a re-hash of the first one. Good crash scenes but ultimately not the thriller I expected. The first one really delivered on shocks.

Final destination was excellent which is why I expected more of this film. The story line was a bit boring but it was interesting how it was linked to final destination. I bought it because Final destination was so good I had to see the follow up.

Great special effects, a thrill to the end...

The film is very well scripted and fairly easy to follow, however it was basically the same plot as the original, but with different people.

However it was an enjoyable watch, and although it contained some gory scenes wasn't too squeemish and a white-knuckle ride right to the end.

  Final Destination 2
Review created: 13/05/09

This is an excellent follow up, the death are more gruesome and the return of Clear is also excellent. she has checked herself into an asylum so that death has no chance of catching up with her as she escaped death in the first instalment. However, as with these films death has a way of catching up with her and she is pursuaded to help Kimberley. Well as you can imagine death comes for her in the end. The special effects are in my opinion excellent and well worth a watch. I saw this at the cinema and it is an excellent follow up - i looked forward to watching the 3rd instalment once i had seen this, it leaves you wanting more.

  Final Destination 2 (DVD 2003)
Review created: 10/05/09

This is the 2nd in the FD trilogy and I wish they would make a 4th.
1 - is where a boy has a vision and some people get off a plane within minutes the vision he had comes true and the plane explodes
The theory is that death has a design and you cant evade it - if you were meant to die you will
2 - is where a girl has a vision about a huge pile up on the motorway and this one keeps you on the edge of your seat
3 - not quite as good as the theme is slightly familiar and you are almost waiting for the deaths to start

  Final Destination 2, The Movie
Review created: 08/04/09
by:

FD2 clearly a worthy sequeal to the original 2000 supernatural thriller, FD1.

Clear Rivers now the only survivor of the original crashed flight 180, through fear that death will come for her, locks herself away in a psychiatric hospital.
Unfortunately for Clear though, death is on his way back and is coming to claim her, as it did to all of her friends.

You can't cheat death twice.

We think the road traffic crash at the beginning far out ways anything FD1 gave us.
Remember, IT'S NOT OVER YET!
