Farscape - Series 1 - Complete (DVD 2002)

This is an excellent film, i thourghly enjoyed it and i was glued to my seet the whole way threw!!!

The best Sci Fi series ever!! And just like Star Trek in its time sadly not supported by ignorant TV executives so came to a premature and abrupt end, though fan pressure did result in the Peacekeeper Wars, a rather rushed one off to end the series.

This is imaginateve, intelligently made with Hollywood style visual effects, beleivable charaters with creative plots and some brilliant lines and subtle jokes in places and serious messages in others, if you haven't seen this series you haven't lived!!!

I have been a fan of this series since it started and have finally got round to updating my video collection of it and I’m so glad I have, I re-watched this series in a week!
Farscape follows John Crichton, an astronaut, who gets stranded in a distant part of the universe, via a wormhole, on a ship with some escaping prisoners with no way of getting home or even knowing which way home is. Within seconds of arriving he is making friends and enemies and trying to stay alive, never mind trying to work out how to open the doors.
There is no weak link in the cast each give fully rounded believable performances, including the puppeteers, and you soon forget that most of them are covered in some sort of prosthetics or are indeed puppets and begin to love, hate and cherish each and everyone of them.
The first series is easy to follow with stand alone episodes as well as an on going story arch. If you like Sci fi you’ll love this!

I found the wait exeptionally long but when it did arrive it was as advertised. I would buy from them again.

I loved the series. I had season 2 on dvd already but season 1 was only on vhs. I gave that to charity & looked for season 1 to replace it.

i am a very big fan of farscape and thought that i would start my collection of dvd's i was very impressed with the speed of delivery and i was more impressed with how well looked after the product was when it arrived it still looked brand new i would strongly recomend the seller to anyone as it was exactly as the seller described A++++++++

I decided to buy this DVD boxset of Farscape because I watched the series when it was on Sky1, I loved watching it then and I love watching it even more now. I'm not really in to Sci Fi programmes but Farscape is absloutely amazing and I would recommend it to everyone. I have season 2 and 3 on DVD already and I have just purchased season 4 and the peacekeeper wars on DVD so I now have the full set and all I have been doing in my spare time for the last week is watching them. If you are into Sci Fi then I would definately recommend that you watch Farscape.... it will blow your frelling mind (if you haven't seen it before that will probably make no sense to you what so ever)

If you are into sci-fi and haven't yet tried Farscape, you should hang your head in shame. It is without doubt one of the best sci-fi shows ever made. It is a very clever, very funny (tongue firmly in cheek most of the time) and very absorbing series. The extras on the dvds in this boxset are a great look into the world behind Farscape and are fascinating. I would highly recommend this series to anyone who has ever watched anything even remotely sci-fi-ish and enjoyed it- this will blow your mivonks (you have to watch this series to know what that means) off!

From Season 1 upto and including the final peacekeeper wars, this is a series that has been one of the most imaginative and interesting that I have ever watched. I love sci fi, be it a movie or a series and this series is by far the best that I have ever seen. It kept me on th edge of my seat for weeks on end, sod ordinery TV I just wanted my next fix of farscape. I even joined the campaign after series 4 to get it restarted or even finish it off properly. This they did with Peacekeeper Wars. It still left a few unanswered questions but finished the whole series off nicelly.
My advice: Buy it watch it and you will enjoy it.

the whole series is great. good story great costumes excellient acting. brillient sets and some wild ideas.. and some fantastic creatures designed by the Jim henson Studio. you fall in love with the characters and laugh and cry with them. i dont know the outcome as yet as im trying to make the series last.. but if you like your sc fi abit more intellectual then this is for you...

I love farscape it is just a really great season a must see. The characters are really convincing and the acting is great!
